In my opinion, the secret key to bitcoin and crypto is to stay enthusiastic, because in the crypto world there are always obstacles in making investments, namely having to be mentally strong and so on.

so that we can keep our spirits up, we must remember the person who was successful in investing in bitcoin, who used to be laughed at a lot and now he is laughing at the person who insulted him at the time.

the journey to success is not easy, everything also requires sacrifice, so you must remain enthusiastic in facing obstacles.

I don't get distracted when I know my destination point, no matter any circumstances I may encounter along the road and how long it may take me to get there. My friend and I started Bitcoin and trading journey together but he quited after we bought Bitcoin and there came a crash and we sold at a lost, but I never give up, and today I can testify how investing in Bitcoin has helped me financially.

before you get to the road of succes there are many obstacles you must face along the line.
Since I got to understand a lot of things about Bitcoin, I don't give shit, I do the do and let them say the say, because when you succeed same people are gonna come back to celebrate your success.

This is very important, we should remember that whatever took us that high, may have gone down but it's still there, and we can do it again. I had multiple times in my life when I got richer than usual, then had to spend that money, cash everything out, pay for some stuff and all. Then in return I ended up with a situation where I grew back again and then again and again, which is how you should approach these things and you would be a lot better.

I personally do not feel any dread, because even if I hit zero today, I know my way back to the top, if you can reach there just once, you will learn the path and you won't give that up and you will grind to get back there.

Whatever comes to bother you in life is bound to disappear on its own. Whether it be scams or people telling you to get rid of your crypto. Once it goes away, you will come out stronger than before because you will have found out that you have defeated it from within you.

give this guy a Nobel prize he cured cancer with will-power
oh and he has made murder rate go to zero with positive thinking
he cured world hunger with internal imagination
..
however there are sometime where there are real things that really affect people and they really need to do something about it in reality
..
being told do nothing, just be patient and smile. is not a cure for some things

yes things can go away. like .. extinction. once the old animals are gone you dont need to worry about the population of old animals. because they are gone.

sometimes. just sometimes action is better than inaction

but it is fun to see who in this topic is playing the "go to sleep, inaction, just be patient" committee .. i wonder how much they are gaining by telling others to just do nothing

you know..
the "dont worry about cancer, we will eventually have a cure for cancer, just be patient, just be a patient" - says the doctors that want to guarantee a 40 year career in cancer research, instead of rushing to cure cancer in 2 years

the real key to peace. is rational thought
EG treat each event based on its own causes/actions/reactions

for instance. when stressed about a ATH being too premium when you want to buy a coin. rationally know the price will correct back down to offer cheaper price coins. so then be patient. because ATH are just a temporary event.

however if there is a code bug and devs are pretending they are not developers but instead, say reviewers. but say they are not interested in fixing a bug this month.. then you have the right to say WTF

Thank you for these wonderful words. A few years ago, my Bitcoin wallet was robbed. They took about $ 600 in the equivalent of BTC. Unfortunately, I didn't know that Jaxx is a bad place to store Bitcoin. I still didn't understand how they did it, but in the end I changed the antivirus and all passwords. Nevertheless, I successfully invested the remaining funds in Decred PoS, and was able to recover what I lost. Be careful with money. Even in the world of cryptocurrencies, they are given by labor, albeit mental, and not physical.

I'm sure things happen to us that make us demotivated from doing just about everything, and it could be related to something you have heard about cryptocurrency, or it could not be related to that at all. Maybe it is related to your bitcoins like you were robbed or something, or maybe it has nothing to do with that.
Yes and we should start forgetting fraud or hacking that has occurred anywhere, including cryptocurrency and or even if it is not related to bitcoin. In order not to become the next victim, the knowledge we get from education is one way to avoid it. Sometimes self-motivation is good and more perfect if we are able to lower our heads.

Everyone will fall even though they have been in power for decades and the ones who will survive are those who have always held back a little harder, let it all go and still have a lot to think about.

A person who can use the experience gained from a bad experience for good in the future can achieve success. I've seen a lot of ups and downs in the crypto market, made a lot of mistakes and felt stupid. Many times I made mistakes which caused huge losses for me. But I didn't stop there, learning from my mistakes and still doing well in the crypto market.

Finally, a good topic to clear some tough hard-learned lessons off the chest, we are all crypto investors and I bet that 99% of crypto investors have all lose money one way or the other, and it feels like there is no more hope, I hope you guys won't ever give up, losing is fine, if you lean from it, but not giving up is the only way to see all these through.

Clear the mind and try again, keep doing this again and again until things turn around for you, thanks for this creative motivating thread @NotATether, you just eased the mind of many.

We don't need to compare our self to someone else because we are already the same with them. Some rich people are coming from poor they surpass all their struggles so that they reach what they have right now and we must remember that if can other Do and made themselves successful then why not ourselves we can do that as well all we need is to be patient and work smarter. Like bitcoin whatever the circumstances will come sometimes the price will drop but still it will stand and be the king of crypto currencies.

Staying focus in life is what determine your success, some people fall off their goal just because of what people told them and they fail to stay focus on their goal. In life whatever happens to man is not what we should use as an excuse or to discouraged and forget about our focus.

I could remember telling a friend about bitcoin and this forum but he didn't ignore only,he went ahead to criticise bitcoin and the forum that it is all scam and impossible for me to benefit from bitcoin. He introduced me into his own shit coin which he is mining and told me that there is hope for me to get wealthy through the mining the shit coin. I didn't listen to him

Yes indeed disappointment is set and bound to hapoen even anger in our journey of life, but the most importantly is you should not be dismotivated in your focusing on your goals.so in anytin you are doing always have good motive,so persons that are successful or that are doing well today go through disappointment, tough times and they did not give up that is why you can hear their name.if you have experience tough time or disappointment you will learn how to handle some situations or problems.

Disappointment and set are bound to happen in our journey in life. I guess the universe itself is basically designed to be so but the good part about this, like you have already made clear through your inspirational words of advice is that in the bad times they are also good times bound to happen so the Best we can do for ourselves is just to hold on and endure through the setback we currently face.

It's must have been hell for those who were involved in the ftx scandal that saw many people financially and emotional distabilize but that doesn't mark the end of life for anyone, we can take it as part of trials and temptations in life and if we stay strong, find, build and develop our selves in all manner of growth, they will certainly be a light after the dark times of these trials.

I’m not that down but I recently lose significant amount of Bitcoin due to my greediness in both gambling and trading. It’s just part of my overall crypto holdings but still it gives me a hard time to think that my profit I earned for a long time holding just burned in an instant just because I became greedy to earn at a rapid phase.

I’m trying to keep my head up as always but it’s very hard to maintain once I saw some discussion here related to the reason of my loss. It’s really good to have a thread like this to release some stress experienced on crypto.

Simple but great thread!

Great lesson I will never forget.
Back then when cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) was just at a low price people were saying all sort of thing I even didn't trade on it cause I was afraid of losing money, but right now my friends who invest in bitcoin are now greatly benefiting from it, I really regrets why I did not comply just as my friends. Also in bitcoin mining I still regrets all my actions.

Never compare yourself to more successful people. Someone was born with a golden pacifier in their mouth from the very beginning. By comparing, you always get lower, despite all your recent victories. Learn to compare your present self with your past self. Who you have become and who you were—if you are happy with your changes, go ahead and do not stop.

The second way to keep your head up is to compare your problems with those of people who are much worse off. You have a house, and someone sleeps on the street; you have food, but others do not even have water.

People tend to misunderstand their happiness. But if we compare the recent events taking place in the world, which bypassed us with happiness, it will be very shameful to be offended by life because of some trifles.

We can't convince everyone about our ideas and what potential it holds in the future so just let them blabber and keep focusing on your goals so you can keep climbing higher and higher while others realising they're wrong not you.

Life is too short to be worried so enjoy it as the way you wanted not what society wants us to be.

Thanks for this motivating post OP, I need this badly right now, I lost some money today to a Defi project, the APY is not even much, just around 15% APY and I noticed that after buying the tokens at 27$ it dumped down to 5$ and I was like, something is definitely going on, I went on discord channel and I found out that the team are leaving the project and no update about why, holders are selling fast so I just decided to sell and walk away with my losses. So once again, thanks for the words of encouragement, you may not know, but this meant a lot.

Everyone be aware that whatever worth doing is worth doing well. Do not BELIEVE in bitcoin; instead, accept it. Believing is not knowing that something exists, believe is doubt.  It's words of wisdom in action. think about it.

This is one of the greatest advices and sayings I've received today and I feel great already because last week Saturday I was scammed and robbed of over $150 I took from @shasan as a loan and I just hope to get it refunded in 5 weeks.
I'm sharing this here because I felt really bad and frustrated because all my hopes were built on that money and it was intended for my waist treatment and unfortunately I got robbed but I had to move on and get a way to refund the money rather than letting everything weigh me down.
Thank you so much @OP for this message and I really feel encouraged and I felt you were talking to me directly.

I'm sorry to hear this, but please know that no matter what you are going through, as long as you are still living, there is hope. I don't believe in the phrase "opportunity comes but once" since it is incorrect; the only thing that comes just once is life. heads up

Sorry for your loss. Lessons like these are unfortunate but teach us to take extra care of your security and finances.

Hope you've messaged shasan and explained the situation to them? You're on a campaign and if you have some alternative source of income you plan out a repayment schedule and let them know if it's okay with them.
Wish you luck man.

Basically, the ones that come out of crises best are the ones that stay strong at the lowest point.
Your statement reminds me of a quote by Robert Kiyosaki: "History reminds us that dictators and despots arise during times of sever economic crisis"

We all have seen the tough times and probably all of the posters who are active here are real survivors imo. Its just about time!

You are absolutely correct. Let me add, that it is in political crises that these same dictators fall.

P.S. This is not directly related to Bitcoin, should be in Beginners' & Help board.

Probably a good idea. I haven't thought about that.

Good motivation and advice, and to add, maybe a little story of my journey with crypto will help elevate someone's spirit.

I started crypto in 2015 as a poor boy, I worked really hard, saved and saved and saved, and 2016, I managed to save about $18, bitcoin being already expensive to me by then, I decided to invest that money in an ICO which promised a good return on investment, this project later turned out to be a scam, that was how I lost my money I worked months to safe.
I was devastated, felt like giving up but some how, I found courage to keep going, I started fauceting for free bitcoin, while I kept working hard to save up some money again, after about two months, managed to save up to $10, joined with the little bitcoin I've earned from faucets, I decided to learn about crypto trading and started trading on poloniex which was the largest crypto exchange at the time, trading was not easy though but I was determined to succeed, kept trading and kept making little profits that's in cents most times, and in about three months, I think I had up to $50 on my trading account, I got tired of trading and decided to invest part of that money in another ICO, I made some profit this time, and I started buying and selling bitcoin(buy low, sell high) - this was actually another mistake I made, cus if i had held all the bitcoins I bought and sold back then till now, or maybe till 2017/2018 bull run, i would have made tens of millions in my local currency..

But all being the same, I am very happy for where I am today, I am happy i did not give up, though I did encounter a lot of challenges, lost money to several scams, but still, I kept my head up always.

Whatever comes to bother you in life is bound to disappear on its own. Whether it be scams or people telling you to get rid of your crypto. Once it goes away, you will come out stronger than before because you will have found out that you have defeated it from within you.

Basically, the ones that come out of crises best are the ones that stay strong at the lowest point. And if we focus on Bitcoin, they would be the ones that take advantage of it to buy more instead of crying. Look back at the history of Bitcoin and see what happened to those who cried and sold at the bottom of the market and what happened to those who held on and bought more.

Bitcoin has unique properties and has been very profitable, but if you cry instead of trying to see the opportunity at the bottom, you stand to lose.

The ebbs and flows of life. We are bound to get demotivated at times, with the slow moving price (for people that over invested), or the recent hacks and scams or about this forum, newbies that are finding it difficult to rank up and grow on the forum, or even understand how it works.

There are new horizons in the future just waiting to happen to you. Forget what other people are saying. Focus on building yourself, so that you can take care of others you encounter who need your help, when the time comes for that.
We should all take lessons from those who have been exactly where we are now and learn from them.
If you are struggling on the forum, there have been numerous users there too and they (not all) found a way to balance it out through their effort and consistency.

P.S. This is not directly related to Bitcoin, should be in Beginners' & Help board.

Back in the 2018-2020, people are saying someone is stupid for bought Bitcoin at $19K on 2017. But if he's know what he do and continue to hold his coin until 2021, he already earn 3x from his initial investment.
Not too far, weeks ago, people said it is stupid to buy Bitcoin at $16,000 and now they are regretting about that. I don't think Bitcoin won't fall to under $20,000 again but my stance is if you believe in Bitcoin, you can DCA it as regular activities for your investment in Bitcoin.

You don't have to find, ask yourself where is the bottom of each bear market. It is unnecessary because if you want to find an absolute bottom before you buying bitcoin, you will miss the bottom when it takes off already.

Meanwhile of finding a bottom, you probably use your fund for other things that only reduce the total net fund you spend for investment. If you DCA, your total net fund will be bigger.

Considering what a lot of people have said and are still saying about cryptocurrency, I don't let that border me at all because that is the only way I can feel deterred and stop investinging in bitcoin. I try as much as possible to keep my keys private as to avoid being scammed or robbed off my bitcoin but I don't think I will ever get demotivated again in life. I don't care what billions of people say about me am just going my way and focusing on the things that matter most which is purchasing more and more bitcoin no matter how small because I know that the price will shock the world after 2024.

To the readers:

Jokes aside — concerning scams and hacks and such, the only way of not being a victim is through education. The industry is still young, and gains can still definitely be made when done correctly.

Great lesson will create great person.

Most people who become successful and rich are have experienced a tough lesson which not all people can accept it. When you have experienced about it, you can prevent from that's problem will happen to you in the future and you can improve it to achieve a good result.

Years ago, Internet was target to shut down, ban from governments. Now we can loudly say it has changed the world and brought the world to a better era. I am not doubtful to say this fact of Internet connection to the world.

There are people who use Internet in good or bad ways but because they are different types of people. Good people have their good ways and bad people have their bad ways but it is not responsibility of Internet to solve all those problems. If society accept Internet, use it, governments and citizens must build up supplementary things around Internet to make this space a better and safer place for all. Unfortunately we can not completely prevent bad things happen in life.
