I seem to recall BFL_Josh (Inaba) saying something about having to "modprobe" some device driver, although that me applicable to FGPA's. So I was wondering if that will be the case when the Jalapeno is released.
There is also something on the BFL labs page about libusb. If your system has a working USB, then it should just work.
However, as I am using Gentoo Linux, I fear I may have to enable something in the kernel.

I do get the impression cgminer will be able to work with the jalapeno when it's released.

Hey guys

I have pre-ordered a BFL Jalapeno, and was wondering what I will have to do with my kernel config.
I use Gentoo Linux and prefer to build my kernel manually.
Anyone have any idea what "device drivers" I will need to enable in order for my system and cgminer to see the device?
Also, do I need to do anything to the cgminer config in order for it to see the little cup warmer?  Grin

Many thanks.
Peace.
