Looks like Anthony Joshua could happen.

If Klitschko doesn't take advantage of the "rematch clause" in his contract, anyhow.

Right now I'm thinking Canelo will beat GGG.

Still need to watch more of GGG's fights to get a better idea of how good he is.

I have to disagree with you @Hydrogen. I think GGG will beat Canelo. GGG is a true Middleweight and one of the hardest puncher now in boxing. Although his 2 last fight of wasn't impressive as compare to his other fights, still GGG is too powerful for Canelo. I think the fight between the 2 is already scheduled for Sept this year and Canelo will be just resting a few weeks then continue his training. I don't know if this is a good move for him but for me GGG is more tougher opponent than Julio Cezar Chavez. I'm so excited and I can't wait to see this fight!!!

I also think GGG will beat Canelo Alvarez. Canelo Alvarez is too small for a big guy like triple G. He is a natural 170 LBS guy, he's got a solid chin, he got the reach and height advantage and most importantly, he got the skill to use his physical advantage in his favor.

I think Canelo is going to get KO'd in less than 10 rounds.

I don't know if GGG can KO Canelo Alvarez but I think GGG will win the fight. I agree with you, GGG is too big for Canelo. I think Canelo can go as high as 170 lbs fully re-hydrated during fight night. But GGG will weight more than that for sure. But too much Mexican pride here, he will not back out of this fight even though we all know that he will lose.

I don't think Floyd Mayweather could win GGG, he is just too big for those guys, and too skilled too, even tho Floyd Mayweather is the most skilled boxer alive, size matters when the opponent is also highly skilled, so maybe he would not be able to stop it.

If Floyd schooled Canelo, then Canelo will get schooled badly by GGG I think.

But if Canelo somehow wins, then people will want to see GGG vs Floyd.

Looking forward to see Canelo vs Pacman or something.
Looks like this is not going happen. If you notice Pacman has been very selective with his foes after his match with Mayweather. His next match is even unknown and he wants to rematch clause in-case the unknown guy wins the fight. Pacman-Canelo fight could have been a great fight if it happened 2 to 3 year ago. What the Pacman wants is a retirement fight and some retirement funds. JMO.

Chavez Jr got rocked as expected by most people, he was the underdog. Canelo Alvarez is too good nowadays, he was going to outbox him for sure.

Now the next fight is clear. Canelo vs triple G. Pacman would be good too, but everyone wants to see the triple G fight.

I would like to see Floyd vs triple G in case GGG wins but that is never going to happen.

I was able to watched just a few rounds of the fight. Canelo Alvarez is too good for Chavez Jr. I want to see Canelo vs GGG as well. I think Oscar dela Hoya need to set up the fight between the two. This will be another epic match. The two best middleweights in the world. Two of the best fighters on the planet.

Klitschko never takes risks. He has a different strategy. He is very cautious. But in this battle caution led to defeat. He had to take a risk in the 6th round
i have been watching his matches several times and indeed he is the typical smart boxer with full of strategy
and He is not easily provoked by his opponent

Guys, there is another major boxing event this weekend between 2 sons of Mexico:

Canelo Alvarez vs Julio Cezar Chavez. But I haven't seen any thread started yet on the fight? This is gonna be a huge fight don't you think? There should be a discussion board for this one. (Forgive me if a thread already exist).

For me, I understand there is a rematch clause, so I think they will fight again so that AJ can proved that his win over Wlad is not a fluke. I don't see him fighting Tyson Fury, Tyson is not ready yet.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr is the son of the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez, he's a good boxer but not as good as his dad. In this fight, he has the height advantage, the reach advantage, pretty much everything physical he got the advantage, bt Canelo Alvarez is overall the better boxer. Canelo got destroyed by Floyd but he has learned since then and has become a top competitor, I think he will win if he is able to find the right angles.

I agree. Canelo is way better that JCC Jr. Its just so happened that he is a son of a legend that's why he took so many media attention. But they say that he is too lazy in training. He was exposed in the Martinez fight already and lost some of his stardom. While Canelo is rising to be Mexico's darling now. So I'm intrigue on how this fight goes.

It is unfortunate that he fought Floyd Mayweather when he was still too new. The fight of Canelo vs Floyd is really a masterclass in boxing, Canelo looked like a total amateur. Now he has forever a loss in his portfolio, and he could have a perfect record, but of course people would say he ducked Floyd if he didn't fight him.

Looking forward to see Canelo vs Pacman or something.

In all sincerity, although the match has been concluded and the winner has been declared, if I had the opportunity to place a bet a day before, no matter how hard I try, I would have placed it on Vladimir Klitschko because I so much trust that he will win the game but I am equally happy that I didn't lose my money because I would have lost big  considering the amount of trust I had in that guy. But the winner I hope meet his own crusher soon.

The Crusher will be Tyson Fury for sure. Anthony Joshua got exposed, he is not that great, he has been undefeated because he hasn't fought the top 3 yet. We are going to see Anthony Joshua get beaten in a rematch against Vladimir, and if he manages to win again, we are going to see him KO'd by Tyson Fury. Those are my predictions.

I hope Tyson Fury can get back to his old self and fight Anthony Joshua. He is fighting another fight, which is battling mental health problems. But if ever the fight happen, I would also go for Tyson Fury. And I think this would be the next logical mega bout in Heavyweight division. My man Tyson should get back into shape and show who's really the Heavyweight Champ. Grin. He has gain a lot of weight since 2015 win against Klitschko. So I don't know if the fight can be made anytime soon.

I know Fury is awkward as hell to hit but can he be awkward for 12 rounds? Joshua will land one of his triple combos at some point. I can't wait to see how Fury handles it. AJ is smart man he doesn't go for the one punch knock out because he knows in the HW division it takes 2 to 3 punches to put a man of that size down.

Well Tyson Fury was far from dominating in the Wladimir Kltishchko fight, I forgot how boring that fight was. He is good in making the opponent frustrated in an akward way (unlike Floyd which is really flashy and stylish) but we are going to see Tyson get exposed if he cannot back his claims up against AJ sooner or later and he will not have any excuses to make after he loses.

Boxing haters will never learn. Boxing will never disappear, it is a legendary sport. UFC is the new fad that needs to prove itself to last as long as boxing did. I think it will, because it has a growing fanbase, but the UFC fanboys that call boxing dead need to wake up and smell the coffee. Boxing champions are making more money than all the UFC fighters combined. The big money is still in boxing for a reason.

I can't wait to see Conor get exposed by Mayweather so they will understand the sweet science of boxing.

It was a very entertaining match for sure!

Klitschko simply goat caught in one of Joshua's 30 second frenzies at the start of the round. After those 30 seconds he could hardly move anymore from lack of stamina.

Klitschko looked like the much fitter fighter, but I guess his reflexes were not good enough anymore to block the power and speed at the start of the rounds.

I don't even know why Vladimir klitschko decided to make this fight in the first place, he's past his prime and if I was him I  wouldn't let boxing retire me. Round 11 humiliation is worse than round one or two where you can blame on something technical but this proves he can't withstand Joshua any day and he's better off hanging those gloves.

I saw the fight last night and this was far from humiliating. Wladimir Klitschko fought really good and showed he can take damage and recover. It was a really close fight but finally the younger fighter won.

I would like to see a rematch, but I think Joshua is going to get destroyed by Tyson Fury if he gets in shape.

Damn I can't believe I missed this one. Anyone made some money with this? I was going to bet on an AJ win, apparently Klitschko got KO'd. Next fight is Tyson Fury vs AJ for sure. I wonder if Wladimir is now retiring? after this he is not going to get a rematch with Tyson.
Im going to watch the fight and see how that KO went.
Even i missed the fight, the hype was really huge but i was waiting for this for a very long time but as expected Wladimir Klitschko was the toughest test for Joshua  and he won the fight in the eleventh round and with the win Anthony Joshua is probably the biggest star in British boxing history, with age in his corner he will be a champion for a very long time.

A good win for Anthony Joshua indeed. Who would have thought that he can recover and finished Wlad off? He proved a lot of his doubters wrong(including me) and showed heart in this fight. I think he need some more polishing but I believed that all the top dogs in the HW division has a chance of beating him and each other like Chisora, Wilder, Fury, White and others. There will be no dominant HW champion because like I said, they could beat each other and there will be plenty more fights in this division. We will see.

Joshua became the biggest star in boxing last night, he looked down & out when Klitschko floored him but AJ showed the hunger, determination & fight of a true champion to keep fighting.

He has so much power, Klitschko didn't know WTF was going on when AJ started dominating in round 11.

AJ is still so young for a heavyweight, he can dominate the division for years. What I want to see next is AJ vs Wilder.

I thought Klitschko will win the fight after he knock down AJ in round 6. I felt Klitschko let him off the hook. Once could never imagined that Joshua would recover from that round and actually knock out the veteran Klitschko. I have no doubt that AJ will dominate that HW division for years like you said.

Haven't seen the fight as well. With this lost and Tyson' Fury, I think its time for Wlad Klitschko to hang up the gloves. Its so humiliating that AJ could KO him 3x. He has been the HW champion for so many years and its time to give the young lion like AJ to take over his throne. I guess its gonna be Tyson Fury vs AJ. But Tyson needs to get out of his problem first before fighting AJ.

That's pretty crazy. One of the most controversial split decisions ever happened very recently. Adrien Ward vs Sergey Kovalev. Kovalev clearly won, but the judges gave Ward a win. I was shocked, and so I pissed off since I lost money. Those fucking American judges need to be fired.

I also lost that night. Ward was down in Round 1, unfortunately he lost.
Scores were 114-113, 114-113, 114-113, But I think is a unanimous decision not split decision.
Anyways, their is a rematch clause so I'm still betting on Kovalev if the fight happens.

Boxing had more scandals and match fixing than any other sports in my opinion. They have different governing bodies and there was a scandal where  IBF President was selling ranks for money   Cheesy Jake LaMotta incident is another thing,so i am sure these matches are fixed and if you are lucky you win the bet  Grin
Klitschko Vs Josua is held in London and if that is the case Josua has the advantage here unless and until Klitschko KO him.

The good thing about boxing is it's pretty obvious when a fight is fixed. Adrien Ward vs Sergey Kovalev is an example of an obviously fixed fight where judges had priority on Adrien Ward winning, so as long as Adrian Ward didn't get KOd it's clear that he had a guaranteed win.

Those usually always put pressure into the winner to fight again tho.

AJ is not ready for this type of challenge i'd get my money on Klitschko.  Tyson fury is a freak of nature and had the strategy to unsettle Klitschko.  AJ hasn't had 1 big test as of yet and is young.
Even that is what i think Josua is still raw and the fight against Klitschko will be a big step in his career and if he is able to defeat the great Wladimir Klitschko then it will be a shinning feature in his career. We are yet to see more super powers when it comes to boxing in this day and age and MMA has taken over boxing in my opinion.

There is much on the line for Klitschko, if he loses this it will effect how he is remember in history.  I would not rule the old dog out, he is in good shape and will have more knowledge how to train himself right for this fight vs AJ.  The fury fight was a freak, fury is a freak. Value is with betting on Klitch imo.
A loss in his 40s does not determine the legacy of Wladimir Klitschko, take a look at his record 68 fights and 53 wins by KO and just 4 loses and you still do not see this as a legendary career even if he loses now against Josua that does not mean the Klitschko will be remembered differently .The odds are against Klitschko but i do think that the experience will win in the end.It all depends upon the conditioning he is having at the moment.

Hes still in good shape even though 40s, its old but boxers have done well before this age.  If he loses he has to retire, if he wins he could fight again for another payday.

Draw is possible in boxing?

Yes, draw is possible in 2 situations:

1) The draw happens in the decision. This means judges give a 50/50 decission. It's a draw.

2) This is the crazy one: Double KO. Both boxers punch themselves hard at the same time, they fall at the floor and none of them can stand up again. Im not sure if this has ever happened in profesional boxing. It probably happened but its ultra rare.
Double KO is a rare feat and it has happened long back during a match against Ad Wolgast v Joe Rivers for the lightweight title both knocked them out but the referee helped Wolgast to his feet and counted River out and that was the most controversial decisions in boxing history.I have seen some amateur double KO videos in MMA and boxing in youtube which are really funny. AJ is ready to fight and he is hungry and dangerous. But I got my money on Klitschko, he got too much experience to be upset by AJ. And I believe there still some fire under his belly, to regain the HW belt from the young AJ. Klitschko by decision. He will be in trouble in early rounds by will adjust and get the nod from the judges.

AJ is looking pretty good for this fight in my opinion.

Though with the odds you are getting on Klitshcko, it would be kind of unwise to not bet on him.

I dont think Klitschko can still keep up with a younger and hungry fighter like Joshua. He is too old for this. He should retire now. From the day he loss to Fury. Thats the sign that he should retire. He is not getting any younger. Joshua is a prospect. If he beat Klitschko. Maybe he can fight Fury next.

There are accusations that the Klitschko brothers are connected to the underworld and his older brother was positioned for president in the Ukraine. Hence, who knows what is going on behind the scene and who should win.

Any day i would go for the Klitschko but age has caught up with him for sure and if you look at the records ,Anthony Joshua (18-0, 18 KOs) and Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KO) i really do think experience do count in boxing and it all depends upon how determined Wladimir Klitscho is as if he wins this match i am sure he will be having a rematch with Tyson Fury and win the match and he would retire if i am not wrong and that is what i am hoping to see from the Klitschko brothers.

I think Wladimir Klitschko has never been moer motivated than he is now. He hasn't faced a real challenge for ages, and with Tyson Fury he finally remembered what losing feels like. I think his loss has made him stronger, contrary to the case of Ronda Rousey where losing destroyed her confidence.

I think Klitschko wins this and then he wins the Tyson Fury rematch, but I have my doubts Fury will fight again, he is a trainwreck.
Ronda Rousey is a real bad example when it comes to accepting defeat at this stage ,she has being defeated earlier and she could recover those defeats or accept those but when it comes to the UFC she really cannot accept defeat which is really silly as the hype train has caught up with her, when it comes to Tyson Fury i really want to see the rematch between  Wladimir Klitschko and i am sure he will win the rematch and sure he will be motivated on his return.

40 years old against 27 years old and obviously in terms of experience Klitschko is more better but i think he has already through his golden era and maybe that is the cause why the odds for Klitschko is very high

Anthony Joshua @ 1.4
Wladimir Klitschko @ 2.84
Draw @ 32

Never count a Kltischko out. Age is just a number. Bernard Hopkins was a champion in his 50's, sure we saw im recently getting KO'd out of the ring but that doesn't matter, Klitschko is a freak athlete with long arms and great technical skills, he is taller and has a longer reach and a deeper understanding of boxing, all Anthony Joshua has on Klitschko is age and probably explosiveness but that isn't everything to win against him. Im giving K a big win.
The odds for Wladimir Klitschko is attractive and i do not want to miss that.May be the high odds is because Anthony Joshua is British and he is undefeated with 18-0 is impressive but he has to battle and win against the veteran Wladimir Klitschko to cement is place and things are not easy for Joshua as he will be facing Tyson Fury if he wins this one or we are going to see Tyson Fury Wladimir Klitschko 2.

Tyson Fury was supposed to happen months ago, but Tyson Fury broke his ankle or something during training, this caused the fight to  be constantly delayed. I think Tyson Fury will eventually fight Klitschko again. I hope Klitschko wins this, I want to see a rematch, and after the rematch I want to see Josua fight Tyson, also Deontay is another HW that I want to see fight against Tyson.

One of the few times when boxing becomes interesting is when we see these kind of big matches and i am a big fan of Klitschko brothers ,i would like to see Wladimir Klitschko pose a good challenge to the young Anthony Joshua and i am surprised that the young Olympian suddenly rose to the championship level in pro boxing.Speed and timing determines the winner and i am going for Klitschko to win the match.

Klitschko is still fighting? Isn't he in the era of Mike Tyson and George Foreman nearing the end of their boxing careers? And those guys are in their 60's so he must be about in his 40's.
That is at the end of a man's life cycle in the boxing ring I would think.

Yeah, Wladimir Klitschko is 40 years old and still boxing, he is looking pretty young. Vitali Klitschko is 45 an he has been retired for a while, retired in 2012 with a 45-2 record.

Their first profesional fights were around 1996 so yes, they boxed in the Mike Tyson era... but I guess they were still considered nobodies compared to Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and Hollyfield. Vitali fought against Lewis in 2003 and lost. I would have liked to see Mike Tyson in his prime fight against the super tall Klitschko brothers.

Quote
Days after the Fury rematch was called off, Klitschko was approached by Eddie Hearn, who promotes IBF champion Anthony Joshua, to fight on the November 28 date they had set for a second defence. Terms seemed to have been agreed for a $30m fight showdown although an initial contract was yet to be signed.[79] After Fury gave up his world titles, it was said that Klitschko wanted the WBA title up for grabs in the potential match up against Joshua and waiting for approval, which the WBA kept postponing.[80] A reason as to why the WBA was delaying sanctioning the fight was due them having a legal settlement with Lucas Browne so he could fight for the vacant title next. Klitschko then turned his attention to fighting Browne instead on December 10, a date his team had an arena set for in Germany.[81] On October 24, Klitschko suffered a minor calf injury which would rule him out until 2017. Talks between the Klitschko camp and Hearn remained active with a fight set for Spring of 2017.[82][83] On November 2, the WBA finally agreed to sanction a fight for their super title as long as Joshua defeats Eric Molina in December 2016.[84]

On December 10, immediately after Joshua had defeated Molina in Manchester Arena, Klitschko was invited into the ring by Hearn. It was announced that Klitschko and Joshua would face each other for the IBF and WBA Super titles at Wembley Arena, London, on the April 29 2017.[85] WBA president Gilberto Mendoza confirmed that the winner will have to face mandatory challenger Luis Ortiz next, with deadlines due to be set after the unification fight.[86][87][8

Big boxing heavyweight fight, lots of money to be made here, this one will be huge, a lot of people has been waiting to see these 2 fight. What do you think? I may gamble and bet for an Anthony Josua win, the guy is younger and eager to win, and Klitschko is I think a bit psychologically damaged from the Tyson Fury loss... but then again maybe that is the fire that he needs to win this one and get a rematch with Tyson... very thought call. Still a long time to go so I will think about it.
