I don't recommend using a program like that, because you can easily cheat the players.  You should try doing what dice sites do, and have a server seed and a client seed, with the client seed being chosen by the participants. (Ex: Everyone picks 4 numbers, and they are joined together. Try reading the info on Primedice's probably fair system, as it is basically my suggestion.

I agree with you, It sounds like it can be easily manipulated.

And that's another part that will scare away people... Everything will be based on trusting the site operator. But so are many other gambling sites, and in the end I make more profit being honest.
And it will be a pain to get people to trust me. But after a few people win their first time, they will keep coming back.
I think it would be lots of fun and profitable. heck, I could even just do this whole thing on this forum I guess, couldn't I? (Then again if people would trust me, and I built up some reputation)

Hello, I want to start a simple little ruffle type of game site where people sign up with their bitcoin receiving address and get a unique wallet address assigned to them for sending the entry, and then they can just send lets say 0.0001 BTC into the pot, and 2 in every 10 bitcoin addresses will be chosen as the winning address and will get an equal share. I have already made a post about this before, and I was asked what I would use for randomization.
I'm thinking about using a randomizer called "knas Randomizer".
This software allows you to create your own file with values, and to choose how many will be selected. So I would manually enter the users, and have it choose 2 random users for every 10 entries, and then I would send each one their share.

Also I was asked what way I would be making profit. For the first little while I would just run it as-is, non profit. If I see the user-base increase I would either start placing a few ads on the sides, or keep 1-2% of the pot, and then I will try to get someone to automate it for me and add a few functions to it to make it easier and more secure.

So what do you guys think about that knas Randomizer? Would it work for a start up?
