Its $80 an hour. It is un manned DC so $80 "covers" security having to turn up and let me in. And yes I have some other devices in their and the spare RU went to the miners. I get cheap co-lo, power and data prices but it isstill more expensive than every co-lo providers in the main cities. I am right at the bottom in Tasmania, Australia. We are lucky to have a phone service.

how is it expensive to get into a datacenter? is that where your stuff is already?

I am in the States..where are you?

Just as an fyi, I offer asic miner hosting Orange County, CA for $60 a month per unit, power and internet are included.  Antminers have an extra setup fee because they need a rack mount enclosure, 2 units fit into an enclosure.

Sold out of space now, but will have more on May 1st as I provision more space.
Working on an east coast location soon too.

Its hard and expensive to get into the data center here and I want to try v1.0 onsite in case their is a problem.
What are the chances v1.0  could fix it, based on no information provided by me lol Sad

DPos: That might be a possibility. I would like to try a little bit longer to get the module going.
How much are the modules worth ? Shipping would be expensive I think.

October (batch 1) and November (batch 2) Jupiters are different.

Batch 1 Jupiters are 550+ GH/s
Batch 2 Jupiters are more like 650 GH/s, they made some improvements in batch 2.

All 3 Jupiters are  on 0.9x Thanks for the link I had no idea of the new firmware!!
I will try now.

And yes I think the guy who had them originally got them in October or November 2013.

These sound like October (batch 1) Jupiters.

Can you check which version of firmware your troubled unit is running?  1.00 is the latest version, see https://www.kncminer.com/news

$@#@%^ So frustrating $%&$##@ Pulling out hair %$&&*%$%

The guy who sold it to m is ignoring me Sad
I think he knew it was faulty.

Luckily the other 2 are hashing at full speed.

I think I might sell the faulty one If I can't fix it soon. It is stressing me out!! I will of course tell anyone it is faulty

Thanks !
I have reseated all the modules again and checked all connections were tight and not corroded and still no luck.
My temps were fairly low. I have the devices in a large data center and it is freeeeeezing. I need to wear a jumper when I go.

I have pulled out the modules out 1 by 1 to determine the faulty one. The faulty  module #2.

Its a bit of a hassle going to the data center but I'll go if anyone has a few more ideas to try ?

My unit came in a box which was missing a decent size cardboard corner. Unit was 4 modules. All fans were detached from heatsinks. 3 out of 4 modules were barely screwed to the case. - yes, I strongly recommend an inspection at least. Or, you can install bertmod and look on your enabled cores and die temperatures. I would shut off miner immediately if temperature is over 80C on any of the boards.

I replaced thermal paste on all boards and attached them securely. My ambient temp is about 20C. 4 boards running 770Gh/s 24/7 for the past 2 month.

Hi

I got 3 KNC recently and all  of them hashed at around 550GH/s which is specified speed from the vendor.
I just checked one of them today and it is only going at 350GH/s. What should I try do ?
Maybe I should open up the case and re-seat everything ??

if a module is faulty would KNC replace it ? I bought the 3 devices from someone else who bought off KNC.
I could get them to ask but shipping from USA to Aus is going to be a huge expense again.

hopefully its just temporarily broken.
