let's make a deal.
so, when are these miners going to ship?  the month and day will do.

nothing like people getting worked up about two fictional products.

Batch 1 will hash at the same speed as Batch 2 by the time batch 2 is released.

I'm looking at KnC's twitter and there's no mention of Batch1 equaling Batch2 speeds.  Can you provide the source?

Batch 1 and 2 difference is only firmware.

KNC is assuming the $3000 price difference will be made up in that one month period before batch 2 ships.

Profit is all going to depend on how many other scrypt miners come out before September.

So KnC thinks a Batch1 customer can easily make up the $3k difference in one month and stay happy with 75% performance of a Batch2?
And will I get their used ones from their own mining rigs or a new one?

I think maybe this is where the confusion stems from.  No I don't think KnC thinks you will be happy with that performance.  I think KnC already has your money and so they don't give a shit if you're happy or not.  I know I've said this a million times already but I'll say it again, as long as people continue to be willing to give companies their money before the product is ready there is NO incentive for the company to do anything BUT rip them off.

Bogus.

To new miners:  Screw buying centralized 3rd party mining equipment.  You'll always just be a sucker and their source for free money.

Confused & disappointed with this update. Why would any company screw over its batch 1 buyers when they can reward them and show others who didn't buy into a first batch that they should next time.

Because they already have your money and you can't do anything about it?  Because these companies keep doing this and dumbasses keep lining up to give away their money anyway?  Because for every customer that got screwed in the ass and swore they would never fall for that again, there are 10 more lining up to bend over?  The real question is why *wouldn't* they do this?

History repeats itself. Good luck with your problem plagued miner that has been "TESTED" for a month before shipping to you.

Starting this thread because I am one of probably many disappointed batch 1 Titan buyers that just found out KNCminer is offering a Batch 2 for $3K less and 33% more hashing power. All this before even Batch 1 units are built. They don't seem to want to clarify if Batch 1 will also get the upgrade.

One tweet from KNC says:

KNC Miner ‏@kncminer 5h

@ballance Guaranteed MH/s is still 150/300 for Batch 1 of the Titan Mini/Standard.

Second tweet from KNC Says:

Robert J Molnar ‏@RobMolnar 2h

@kncminer im assuming first batch Titan are also at 400mhs? #dontgetscrewy
Details

KNC Miner ‏@kncminer

@RobMolnar We're working on it, so it's likely yes. The 300 MH/s hashing speed is a safe indicator, not the actual performance delivered./NB

Confused & disappointed with this update. Why would any company screw over its batch 1 buyers when they can reward them and show others who didn't buy into a first batch that they should next time. If this stays as it is with batch 1 @ 300mhs I would never buy a batch 1 unit from KNC ever again.
