Why doesn't your father send the money to you so you can buy with your own account? Open it without any weird internet connection and you should be fine. I've never had any of the problems you report.

I'm looking for a trusted member that can accept SEPA bank transfer within Europe.

The person contracted for the job should be able to buy BTC with the funds transferred to and send to the BTC address I will provide.

Why am I looking for a someone else when I can do this on my own? I tried but failed since I'm doing this for my father and not for my self.

I tried to do the verification on the one must trusted exchange I did get information from this forum and Reddit kraken was really trusted but they refunded my money and closed the account even I verified till level 3 for 1K deposit.

My father did go through a really hard procedure to those verification since there was so many pictures it took more then days. He is a bit old and he doesn't want to do again the same procedure. I can't really face another exchange again.

I can't send him to do CASH to BTC at live location since he lives alone in a village far away from city where there are Moneygram and westernunion which he also refused to go there which I have to respect that from him.

He is able to do any verification web-cam from computer if required from the member he is able also do a picture with hand written anything required even with his ID passport holding. He doesn't have a smartphone he has none-smartphone Nokia old phone old habits but he is able to use computer and do sepa bank transfer on his own.

He doesn't want to go once again with so many pictures and things that happen with kraken since he will then for sure refuse to go further even he is really really interested to invest money on BTC for our nephews etc.

My father is willing to invest more then 10K of euros in BTC.

We will start from 1K so we can have a good trusting relationship so there are no misunderstanding till we arrive to our final phase.

It legally probably involves more than just acquiring a small bank. Coinbase has had interest in obtaining banking licenses for quite some time now, but considering that there is total silence from their side regarding banking licenses it's safe to say that regulators aren't keen to grant them any. Coinbase would be a monster exchange if so. I think that bit scares off regulators.

There is always that one line that gives away the whole reason for these kinds of things. "The reason they suspended the account was that we used RDP connection. Why is this a problem we are now in vacation and we used our computer in our country to do the signup and verification process with anydesk", which is basically a way of saying "we were not at the place we said we were" and that is the reason.

You don't have to look further into why and how you got suspended, you should be happy that you got your money back so quickly because they could have kept your money in money laundering charges, now you don't have to be laundering any money but what you did does raise those alarms even if you are innocent. Be at the place you say you are next time and you won't have trouble.

30 pictures what are they trying to do, a photo album or what..? I mean i also complete kyc for couple of exchanges but this thing is really surprise me.


You are lucky that you choose a trust able exchange. Otherwise your money will not be refunded if you were choose other shit exchange. (which we can see now days regularly)


I think it's a better idea to ask their support center than here. You can try it: Kraken Support Center Or you can contact other support channel which @stomachgrowls give under your post.

I've never had a moment's trouble. I verified there about five years ago and there's never been a squeak since. If it were with Bitstamp I would've had to have provided 3 months of uploads from my brain along with 50-90 polaroids of various objects inserted in my pussy by now.

It's not a matter of luck, it's a matter of rights and laws. Kraken do the same with any customer, no matter what was the original problem they always refund the payment transfer

I've always wondered why huge exchanges like Coinbase and Bitfinex don't just buy a bank. Just drop a few tens of millions USD and cover the reserve capital requirements, and then losing a banking partner here and there won't hurt so much.

Maybe there are some details I'm glossing over.....


I haven't seen any negative headlines lately. Maybe some customer complaints here and there, but that's true of every exchange. I've actually been thinking of signing up there now that Coinbase Pro's fees are so high.

Probably more related to their banking partners setting the boundaries and directly decide what can and can't be done.

I expect things to get worse as banks themselves will be subjected to stricter regulations in the future, so everything that happens in that field, will directly affect the exchanges as well. It's impossible for an exchange to reject whatever the banks demand from them, otherwise they have no bank accounts. Good luck finding a long term banking partner as exchange. Launching a space shuttle successfully is easier.

I have to admit that for such a respected exchange Kraken's headlines haven't been too positive in the last couple of months. Hope they don't fuck up because they are the largest BTC/EUR exchange.

It's also easy to forget you're using a VPN. I regularly use the inbuilt Opera VPN to nick films and that place's default location appears to be Ukraine which is not on their approved list. One mistaken login and it may be account closure time.

I'm not sure about the VPN bit. When they responded to an inquiry last year from the NYAG, Coinbase said they did not limit VPN usage. Only Bitstamp and Poloniex did/do. Kraken didn't respond to the inquiry:



However, it's possible they won't let you register a new account from known VPN IP addresses.


Coinbase supports Romania. You might try just verifying his information while logging in from Romania. It might set off a red flag for them, but so too might using VPN and remote desktop connection.

Not sure but if the suspect some kind of fraud, then you may not be able to set the account up. Maybe try a different exchange.

I am so overwhelmed by this exchange despite of the suspension of an the account of our friend. This should be observed by different exchanges, because as far as know it has been taking more dominant with respect to strict implementation of their rules. Some of the reputable exchanges, needed to undergo suspension but we need to wait until such time that reached until the term was served.

I'm located in EU Romania at the moment and my father is living in Netherlands and his bank account is in Netherlands.

We do can do payment with visa card verified by 3-d or Sepa bank transfer.

Coinbase tends to be even more draconian than Kraken. They won't tolerate VPNs, sending coins to gambling sites, the list of stuff they ban is very long.

Both Coinbase and Kraken are based in the US, which is why they behave like this.

Where are you located? Is there an exchange that serves your home country that you can try?

I doubt it. I've read of people logging in to Coinbase when travelling in places that aren't on their approved list and their accounts got shown the door. Many of these places don't seem capable of understanding you might actually go to another country sometimes but I guess it pays for them to be paranoid.

Well, better use other exchanges, like for example Coinbase or Coindeal. These two are my favourite, very professional and reliable. The second one - CoinDeal is pretty young exchange, but very rapidly developing, recently they have entered the US market. I would even say that trading there is more profitable right now than on CoinBase. You've got deposits in some currencies free of charge and if you have some CDL Tokens, these could also lower your fees.

You should try it first.
Maybe we could be of some help afterwards as many of us have different experiences from this kind of changing countries.
It wont hurt to try, right? They have different regulations there and maybe your stand could be proven with just some documentation.

Coinbase might be strict with country policies but there could be exceptions.

at least your money is returned, very rarely does the exchange suspend a user's account and then return the money, salute with kraken exchange, you or your father can still trade with another exchange, there are many reputable exchanges that can be trusted, for example binance, huobi and many other exchanges.

We have the same answer, contact support again and find the best solution you can get. If there's no solution you can create new account but of course using another data. Sometimes exchanges give non sense reason but they will do anything to protect their system. Last way is you can register into another exchanges in this case I prefer local exchange near you.

I will give it a try COINBASE first thing tomorrow since it's really late in my timezone.

But I did use VPS to buy from PAYBIS with credit card small amount and I had no problems. They also offer Sepa bank transfe!

I did use my vpn on my phone which I do have the kraken api installed and trade coins I never had problem with IT?

I did first verify the kraken account then did do a small sepa deposit with my local IP address of my billing bank statement.

After some months I had to travel and used VPN on my phone and notebook to do trade and withdraw via browser I had no problems.

If you all agree with me one more time if I go coinbase use my VPN as my country.

I will go verify my account first?

Maybe FIRST I should tell them about my situation and that I'm using VPN after I open the account I will open a support ticket pre-telling them my story?

That's why kraken last email said if we do it from our home based internet connection and do a video call conference they will allow us to deposit, trade, withdraw crypto again.

Because they asked me to do better quality starting from ID front ID back till the end of process that took days and more of 30 pictures sadly

I will never use kraken again but I used it for my purpose and I never had a problem I still have some coins there from the beginning of my journey to bitcoin and I do some small trades deposit withdraw time by time no problems at all.

Some of my friends I know I did open kraken on my own since they had no clue about crypto and they still have the accounts with crypto and not closed or suspended.

Reviews of kraken exchange are almost perfect and most of them are true on bitcointalk and reddit.

That's why I did choose kraken.

 Most of the cases such a company won't tolerate if you mask your IP using a VPN or even through using RDP. It's always to be the case everywhere even if you log in to PayPal using VPN your account will be frozen. It's always advisable to not use any means of masking your IP and instead use your real IP and if there's something that you need to explain you can explain through their customer service for approval.  Even worse if you are using a Windows VPS provided by some cloud computing company, they will straight out ban and suspend you.

Then, much better to try some method of buying cryptocurrencies.
Since your father just want to buy some Bitcoin with his account, then  you may try buy some Bitcoins locally or try any other exchange and transfer your Bitcoins in personal cryptocurrency wallet and secure your private keys.
Again, if you will try other exchange and they have strict KYC, don't deposit first until you didn't get verified.

Exactly, I don't understand  you keep on sending 30 pictures when obviously they're going to deny your application. Lots of exchanges out there, why not try Binance/Coinbase or other reputable trading platform in the cryptosphere? You don't need to go to that ordeal of sending photos for verification purposes.

All I can say is that I've never heard of Coinbase making demands like that. They just shut your account and tell you to go away. You don't seem to get a chance.

In Kraken's case it sounds a lot like your weird VPS/IP is the cause of that and most other exchanges would probably do the same.

Your using a VPS was probably what set off a red flag for Kraken to suspend your account. I originally assumed you used something like TeamViewer to conduct the verification process, but it's generally not an extremely difficult task for exchanges and websites in general to find the details of your IP address and whether or not it's from a datacenter or something of the sort. Kraken's probably very picky about this and so your account was suspended, but I would suggest signing up to another exchange and finishing verification on your home network to avoid any potential issues.

My father can do all the verification they will ask that won't be a problem. And it is a small deposit only 1000 euro.

Should i do my first deposit a smaller amount 500 euro ? I thought since it's sepa bank transfer to do 1000 euro minimum.

We did do like more then 30 pictures for kraken since they where bad quality and we did verify till level 3.

2. UPLOAD BANK STATEMENT same failed many times finally after 4-6 pictures good quality and was accepted
3. MADE UPLOADED SELFIE WITH ID
4. MADE UPLOADED SELFIE WITH ID AND HAND WRITEN ONLY FOR KRAKEN EXCHANGE ETC ETC KRAKEN RULES
5. THEY LOCKED SUSPENDED ACCOUNT AND ASKED US TO MADE NEW SELFIE WITH ID AND A WHITE PAPER WRITTEN TO UNSUSPEND OR UNLOCK NOT SURE KRAKEN ETC ETC.

After 5-th verification process they made us go which took us days to arrive in the 5-th verification process we did exchange some email for 2 days and the promised that they will unlock our account and release the funds to purchase crypto.

In the end after 2 days they replied that they suspended or closed the account due to our remote connection used and out real location where our address is on our bank statement details we sent to them.

This happen 3 or 4 months something like that don't know the exact dat I can't remember sure all the details.

Now my father really wants to start investing in bitcoins on his own with his account since BTC price is down as he thinks and he is able to do his own ebanking and sepa bank transfer with many other companies for years now.

Never heard of this before, but I could see why it might appear suspicious to Kraken. It could appear like you don't really reside where you claim and/or are trying to verify with fake documents.

Yep, I've heard of numerous account closures due to logging in from an unwelcome country, through VPN for instance.

I had to do Coinbase's selfie verification through the mobile app. It wouldn't work with my PC webcam.

Maybe the computer method works fine now. It didn't when I tried.

Coinbase do SMS based 2FA so an old phone should be fine. I don't know if they demand the usage of an app. They also seem extremely sensitive about people changing locations so you might end up with the same problem.

I doubt they would let you deposit anything until you were completely verified, and there's no point in doing so, so you have nothing to lose by attempting it.

My father doesn't have android he uses old nokia (old habits) but he knows computer at level 3 basic something like.

We used a remote computer VPS in frankfurt to do the kraken account signup and verification's.

Can we open coinbase the same way via windows VPS in frankfurt or i can do it via my android phone? but it's his sim card (phone number that is linked to his ebanking) it's on his nokia. Do I need some verifications if I install coinbase in my android phone with sms like whatsapp that I have to have his sim inserted (phone number) ?

I really don't want to check the signup and have troubles in the end with the refund solution I hope you can understand me.

Of that selection I'm only familiar with Coinbase. I've genuinely never heard of any of the others.

With Coinbase all I had to do to verify was photo ID and proof of address. Nothing else. They gave me a stupidly high limit but I can't remember what it was. Use a phone to photograph and upload through their app. The website didn't work for me. Coinbase Pro will have lower fees but requires separate registration but the same docs when I checked.

Id and address is all I required for Kraken level 3 as well but it was many years ago. Maybe it's changed.

I need recommendations from a good member with a valid proof of source if possible which other exchange online should I go next and won't have to bother to verify one by one.

I'm pretty surprised that Kraken was able to find out that you were doing the verification process through a RDP as I assumed that what they could detect would only be activity coming from your main PC, but after your vacation, try to contact the site's support, and once you get permission from Kraken, try doing the registration and verification process once more while you're at your computer.

You can also try to use other exchanges like Binance that are available in your country and verify there, though if you're asking who can process your verification at Kraken, you'll need to contact the site's support.

Probably the best thing you could do is to contact the persons above. Try to send email on kraken, I think they are very responsive on email than their social media sites.

But I think what could be the problem is the connection you've used to create and verify the identity of the user due to the fact that you are away coz you guys are on vacation. My hypothesis on this one is that, kraken exchange linked the accounts (you and new acc) that's why they are asking for a live picture verification as many as possible.

You are lucky your money was refunded. Just out of curiosity, why still insist on using Kraken yet there are a few more popular exchanges that you could use?
30 photos for verification and yet suspended is a pretty clear sign that they don't wanna work with you/your dad.

This. Contacting them directly is the easiest way to grt answers.

30 pictures! If you have sent nude, it must be the reason to approve.  

They may be thinking a lot of things regarding this RDP connection that you mean. But how do they know you are with RDP connection?

It could be because they need it that your father to do it himself to where he is currently located. They did refund your money though so no harm done, lucky you and you can try your luck to some other exchange.

Try to reach them into those channels above.

I have recently created an account for my father in kraken.com exchange.

We did together every single verification they asked for from level 1 to max but they still closed-suspended the account and refunded the money in the end even after going with every single verification they asked made more then 30 pictures took us days to arrive in the final verification step kraken asked us to.
