all i see is USDT deposit, and i dont even think that's US Dollars. As you can see im a newbie. and kucoin has no live person to help you, figures.

Yes its not US dollars. Its USDT - tether - stable coin pegged 1:1 to US dollar. Crypto deposits, crypto to crypto trading, crypto withdrawals does not need KYC on kucoin but if you want to deposit/withdraw Fiats kYC is mandatory on almost every platworm. P2P trades are all you have if you want to avoid KYC and use fiats. But after you buy USDT somwhere, you can deposit it to kucoin and trade ... but i do not recomend that, as Potato Chips said:

It's not advisable to play around with centralized exchanges if you're one of the restricted persons as they hold your funds but if you decided to dive in, at least ask what happens if kucoin were to ask for your KYC and your country isn't supported... but imo not worth the risk/trouble.

One day they will lock you account saying - "we've recorded strange activity from your account" or something like that and they will force you to do KYC. Just like binance locked my account 2 days ago and asked for face scan (i did ID KYC 2 years ago ... now even this is not enough).

it seems that kucoin allows shorting and leveraging coin for usa customer, without need for kyc, which all i still find hard to believe, but anyhow, does anyone know how to make a usa bank deposit to a kucoin account? their screens are so complicated compared to coinbase. don't ask why i dont use coinbase, i just choose not to. i need a tutorial on this super simple step. all i see is USDT deposit, and i dont even think that's US Dollars. As you can see im a newbie. and kucoin has no live person to help you, figures.

i'm literally willing to pay someone to walk me thru depositing and doing futures trading, shorting, margin trading as there is no clear cut tutorials on this, even on youtube, without watching some 30 minute long video that almost has nothing to do with what i just said.
Actually Kucoin centralized exchange required KYC process but 24 hours depositing and withdrawing it's not require kyc process may be . But when you depositing or withdrawing your assets through Bank then you must have kyc verified account.

Rather than allowed, it's more like they tolerate it. United States is actually not supported but since KYC is not mandatory, users are free to evade such restriction  Roll Eyes , at least according to their reddit mods

OP: Can I kyc to protect my account. If i managed to grow a nice balance on one of my accounts i want my name attached . Is that available yet?
kucoin_moderator: US is not included on our KYC country list, however, KYC is not mandatory.

It's not advisable to play around with centralized exchanges if you're one of the restricted persons as they hold your funds but if you decided to dive in, at least ask what happens if kucoin were to ask for your KYC and your country isn't supported... but imo not worth the risk/trouble.

The good thing about exchanges is that their interface is very similar. So if you know how to interact with Binance for deposits, future trading, shorting etc for which there are plenty of tutorials, then you'll be able to use any other similar exchanges.

Binance and KuCoin are similar. So best to learn how to do it on Binance even if it must be through videos, or reading blogs (whatever), and then apply it to KuCoin - same concepts. Good luck!

While Kucoin does not require their users to go kyc when depositing and withdrawing crypto, limited per 24 hours. Once you want to deposit USD/fiat using credit/debit cards or any methods that use fiat deposits, kyc verification is required.

I never used kucoin's fiat deposit before, but this article may help https://www.kucoin.com/blog/kucoin-launches-fiat-account-for-crypto-purchase-with-usd-deposit
