I didn’t count, but it seems to me that the more auctions awaken, the greater the reward will be.
Zeitgeist is in the lead and I think he will win the auction on December 9th.
but it seems to me that 18-20 auctions will not gain more than 25,000 KSM.
Although the participants may not be in a hurry to participate in the auctions, because they are waiting for the results to participate in the last hours.

Zeitgeist had already started their crowdloan campaign, and this project outstripped even Sakura (I think there might be interesting race for slot). But Zeitgeist doesn't look ineresting for investing. Are there any thoughts about it?

The only objective metrics here are the economic metrics of projects entering crowdfunding. And then there is the problem of a HUGE overestimation of the current valuation of projects that have already entered the market. Do the folks at Konomi, Litentry, and Crust really believe that anyone should bear the dots for them if they revalue people at 5-10 times their current market value?

Or do they already know the future price of their tokens? And given the fact that of course none of them will give 100% of their tokens immediately, we get that, purely technically, in order to recoup theirs, the token of an average crowdfunding project must have grown in value 30-40 times by the time of launch on parachain and listing. And now we are in the final stage of a bullrun, I remind you.

And here we enter a slippery slope. It's almost the end of the bull run, and there are hai all over the place. We have two years to break the DOT. Crowdloan participation falls into the realm of religious faith rather than an adequate assessment of the current state of the ecosystem. For right now we have extremely cumbersome and inconvenient interface of interaction with the ecosystem, several third-party wallets, support of centralized exchanges for participation and a couple of decentralized applications in the canary network whose work, let's be completely honest, causes more surprise than delight. And how else to explain the listing of BNCs on Karura with the lack of ability to deprecate BNCs within the Karura app itself? It's more like early EOS than user-experience, where you go into one app to deposit into another, and do the output back through the other into the first. It's maximally weird. Yes, governance, DAO and all that stuff is of course very important for decentralization. But it would be nice to think about the user, too, wouldn't it? Is it too soon, do we have to be patient a little longer? Well that's why I say that locking in 2 years of DOT tokens is a matter of faith, not an objective assessment of any given project.

SubSocial is a great project and to be honest I'm not surprised that they collected all the 100k they wanted to win the slot. I was hoping that they would collect 50k and the reward in the SUB would be more than 150 coins. There were rumors that the project could launch this year and I hope they succeed!

As for me, user who have locked KSM in SubSocial, it's not the best news. As I remember, if project has raised less than 100k, we would have got more then 150 SUB per KSM. So, now we will get 150 SUB.

So what is the main difference between Polkadot and Ethereum?
Ethereum is an open system where anyone can launch any project that can be good or fraudulent.
To launch a project in the Polkadot Ecosystem, you first need to win an auction for a place in the Kusama Ecosystem, complete testing, and then win an auction for a place in the Polkadot Ecosystem. With this approach, fraudulent projects will never join this ecosystem.
If your project is part of the Polkadot ecosystem, then it will automatically be able to interact with other projects in the ecosystem and have the same protection against attacks as the entire Polkadot ecosystem.
The Polkadot ecosystem is currently limited to 100 projects, so the best ones will be there.

You can start a project in "single mode" but then you have to build bridges or interact with ecosystems through other projects.
And the main disadvantage of this is that you will have to solve security issues yourself. You will have to make nodes, pay them a reward, and make sure that they do not do malicious acts.

From what I have read, Kusama is the testnet for Polkadot and the mainnet is yet to be launched. Then why is it that both the tokens are already being traded. DOT is supposed to be the governance token but who is holding all of this DOT and where do the votes happen?

I also tried to check the validator stats but the telemetry link on the official website gave an error. There are plenty of projects but the research behind the founders and teams is way more sketchier than it used to be for ICOs. In case of Ethereum, there was atleast this forum where a lot of people used to hunt for scam teams and tried some level of dissuasion. How is that being done on something like Polkadot?

Sherpax (KSX) is a very interesting project, but it has very little chance if you look at how many users voted for it.
Polkadot is very slow to launch the ecosystem and it can take several months to deploy a project on the Kusama testnet.
The developers promised us the launch of auctions on Polkadot in the 3rd quarter, and soon the 4th quarter.
The very low speed of launching projects is a big problem.

I do not recommend buying Kusama now to participate in auctions because it is too expensive.
