no its not possible to get a software that monitors how much the computer is using (not unless you own a very very high end server) best bet get a power usage meter that simply pugs into the wall socket and then plug your computer into that there pretty cheap and have all sorts such as how many watts and amps a computer is using
you can buy an adaptor and plug it directly to the socket for probably 10-15$

If you are talking about current power consumption of different parts of PC - no such software exist.

Well I've read that all software is dependent on what info the motherboard/components will feed to it. So you may be right no solution exists.
There was one guy who I saw said he had a meter on his UPS that he used to see how much voltage was being used. That sounds like some solution. Perhaps the only solution would be to have a piece of hardware between the computer and the wall socket.

So I see a lot of comments just pointing towards various online solutions to calculate voltage and kWh usuage for PC components but is there any solution for something already built? I'd like to find some free software that just tells me how much voltage I'm currently drawing under various workloads.
