Since I started watching Barcelona team playing from season to season have never seen them starting at a very slow pace after winning the league. This season is some how with Barça, like they're not having that force of winning without problem but they have to struggle, the first game they played was horrible, played a goalless draw and it seems like they all went to defend with the red card, later won 2nil then last week was a battle for 3 point 3-4, thought they were going to lose that game, this isn't what I expected in their first 3 games of the season.
All I see in this Barça team is they're losing that force in making teams lose their strength even the smaller teams are trying to beat Barça, I can't say Xavi is still building the team because if it they still have that idea in their head then the champions league would be hard for them to qualify from the group stage.

Yes, you are right, but if you look at Real Madrid they also seem tired in the same way. The Spanish teams seem exhausted at the moment. Sevilla who had won the cup look like a totally different team. I dont know what is going on honestly, let is hope it gets fixed.

Anceloti again protested the decision to show in the League. Anceloti was annoyed by the coverage that went into the dressing room, before or after. This means that official LaLiga coverage is only allowed to show 90 minutes of match coverage plus extra time and nothing else. Anceloti even asked for this for Saturday's game against Getafe. Even Real Madrid sent a burofax to LaLiga. It seems that Anceloti is uncomfortable with the media constantly trying to find interesting sides that may not be able to become public consumption.

Wasn't Real Madrid the only team in Laliga to refuse this coverage from the start and why is Laliga still insisting on doing this to Real Madrid? I think this is very untrue and I really support Ancelotti's protest because he doesn't want any discussion to leak on the pitch while they are playing the match. Real Madrid must take the right steps and Florentino Perez must step in to resolve this problem with Laliga because it will really disturb the comfort of all parties involved from coaches to players.

Week 4 will open with a match between Cadiz and Vilareal. Actually, Cadiz is quite good in their defense in the first 3 matches, but they have problems in the front line. On the contrary, Vilareal can be better in the front line, but they have problems in defense. Looking at it all I think this will be an interesting match for both clubs, because the strength of one club is the strength of the other club, which they will take advantage of each other. Vilareal are good at scoring goals, but Cadiz's defense is strong. Vice versa, Cadiz is not better in attack, but Vilareal's defense is fragile.
With conditions like this, the final result of the match is very likely to be a draw, because Cadiz will withstand attacks from Villareal well and Villareal will not experience problems in defense because Cadiz's attackers are not good attackers in finishing.
However, the team that will defend more is very likely to make mistakes and this can be well maximized by their opponents unless Cadiz has a dangerous way of counterattacking so that they can score goals because teams who are in attack mode are often weak in defense.
Cadiz @ 3.30 as the home team and Villareal @ 2.17 as the visiting team, the odds are not much different so this can be said to be a match that is a little difficult to predict but Villareal as the better team will take advantage of the opportunity to get full points, in head to head there is more the dominance of draws and after that wins for Villareal so it is difficult to predict.
I agree, maybe this match ended with a draw result. Considering that Villarreal in several previous Away matches against Cadiz, Villarreal had difficulty to got full points. Today they will also play Away, there is a possibility that the result will be share points. Although I personally prefer Villarreal to win, but indeed Cadiz defense can not be underestimated, even Barcelona previously difficulty to scored against that team.

Last season Barcelona also didn't have a good game at the start of the season, but in the end Barcelona managed to perform spectacularly and win the La Liga title like they didn't have any problems. Their defense is very strong, their home record is good and they have dispelled all the bad speculation as if they had the best squad depth all season.

At the same time, Real Madrid appeared more convincing, but Real Madrid failed to appear consistent and ultimately failed to win the title. I'm a Real Madrid supporter, but I don't underestimate Barcelona. They are a team built on trusting one another, supporting one another, and growing strong with its underpaid young squad.
The two biggest rivals in La Liga are Real Madrid and Barcelona. And most of the time in La Liga we don't see many titles won outside of those two teams with either Real Madrid winning the league title or Barcelona winning the league title.

Barcelona were not in a good position at the beginning of last season but from the middle of the season Barcelona made a great comeback in this league and eventually they beat Real Madrid to become La Liga champions. Barcelona's advantage over Real Madrid last season was that Barcelona's main target was only the La Liga title but Real Madrid's target was the leg title as well as the Champions League title but in the end Real Madrid failed to win the Champions League title as well as being the runner-up in winning the La Liga title.

Real Madrid look to be slight favorites over Barcelona to win the La Liga title this season, barring injury problems we could see Real Madrid as La Liga champions this season.

What do you mean with "Barcelona were not in a good position at the beginning of last season"?

Above you can see the table of last season after five games and if in your opinion that is not a good condition after five games, what does that mean? If you ask me, I would call that an excellent position having the best offense along with Real Madrid and having the best defense, but I agree there is a small blemish because they tied one game and lost two points. But whatever team would start the season with that score and 4 wins and 1 draw, I think you can't call that subpar or not good.

Barcelona's main target is to win it all and it is the same for Real Madrid and this has nothing to do with defining main targets. Barcelona got kicked out of the Champions League, Real Madrid didn't. The top teams don't have main targets and really, often times they say that the national league is the most important title, but do you really believe that players from Real Madrid or Manchester City go home satisfied when they win the league titles and nothing else? Every player tells you that they are living and working for the Champions League title.

If you look at the results of the last three weeks, Madrid is superior because they have won in a row, while Barcelona only won twice and the other was a draw, both are still considered strong and it is difficult to guess because we are still at the start of the season, especially since Madrid has not yet found a replacement for Benzema in the front line. Plus Vinicius' injury means he will be out for several weeks, of course that will be detrimental to Madrid too.

But behind that there are still many Madrid players in the main squad to replace Vinicius' position and be able to handle him during his injury. Against Getafe in the fourth week of course it is an easy step for Madrid, especially playing at home in front of all their supporters. Of course Madrid must be able to get three more points to win. maintain their position at the top of the standings, if only they are consistent until the end of the season I am sure they will easily win the La Liga title this season.

It seems that luck is very much on Barcelona's side this season in the Champions League. Barcelona occupies the last group which is inhabited by teams that tend to be no better than them, so basically Barcelona will be the favorites to qualify for the round of 16 this season.

I know Barcelona shouldn't be happy because no one knows if they can overcome all these challenges easily. Porto and Shakhtar are not to be underestimated, but I'm sure Barcelona will go ahead as planned.

Barcelona certainly presents a positive image with their standing in the Champions League. But I cant get rid of this sensation. Sure, Group H doesnt have those large sharks lurking nearby, but theres also Porto. Didnt they pull off several surprises last season? However, I believe Barcelona and Porto will both likely advance to the round of 16. Since we're talking about challenges, Group F is a fiercely competitive group. Additionally, I cant stop reflecting about how much Xavi concentrated on LaLiga last season. Yes, it really did work. But hey, I say, why not channel some of that enthusiasm onto the UCL this year? After all, a little balance is always beneficial.

Who? I don't even see someone who is capable enough in replacing vinicius once he was injured. It's not even joselu. Vini will be missing a lot of weeks due to the injury.
So many news already announced that if vini will be out from real madrid around 6 weeks. He will not be only missing la liga but vini will not able to contribute for real madrid in UCL. It's bad for madrid but being placed at the easy group was a luck for madrid.
Real Madrid has Brahim Díaz who can play as a left or right winger. I think he is the player who can replace Vinicius as the left winger. Brahim Díaz played quite well in AC Milan the last season. He deserves to replace the role of Vinicius on the left winger if Vincius got injured a long time. Joselu is a striker (center forward), he is not the right player to replace Vinicius position. I think Ancelotti won't force Joselu to play as a left winger.

True, this makes me feel so bad to see him out for more than 1 months. Madrid has no choice other than doing rotation nor change its strategy depending who players are available to play.
Ancellotti was doing mistake by not even preparing a good backup for vini. Madrid is in trouble to play without vini right now.
Real Madrid has the option, they don't need to change the formation or tactic if they put Brahim Díaz as the left winger. But if Ancelotti forces to change Vinicius with Joselu, Real Madrid needs to change their formation. I hope Anceloti won't change the formation or tactic because it looks quite effective so far. Changing the formation/tactic may ruin the good performance of Real Madrid.

Of course there would a player to replace Vinicius but the most important thing is whether they can make sure of not feeling the absence of him too much. This doesn't seem very possible in my opinion. He will be missing at least a few games in his injury time period. He can miss at least one of the Champions League group games as well.

Vinicius is one of the most important players with Bellingham for Real Madrid now. Therefore there is no way they aren't feeling his absence much. His individual skills have been the savior for the team many times so far. Bellingham will have a bigger responsibility in his absence.

Cadiz vs Villarreal

Last week actually Villarreal has displayed good performance but unfortunately they weren't lucky and lost from Barcelona with scores 4-3 and i think Cadiz is not strong just like Barcelona so if they can managed their consistency i think Cadiz is not strong opponent for them but Villarreal have to focus because Cadiz at home was quite strong and the records has been showed since April until today Cadiz still unbeatable at home so this is the real test for Villarreal whether they can able to beat Cadiz or not

Regarding team conditions Alberto Moreno still unable to played because of injured and for forward lines Villarreal probably still played Gerard Moreno and Alexander Sørloth and actually this match is really hard to predicted because both teams had equal conditions and Villarreal has odds @2.15 which is they are the favourite and from squad quality i can see Villarreal is slightly better than Cadiz so in my prediction probably Villarreal will beat Cadiz and collect 3 points

Barcelona are the favourite in this  group,  they have good players that can make them obtain victory in every match If really they want victory and Barcelona already has a good coach that is experienced.  I don't think Barcelona games in this group will be difficult for them, this is a group Barcelona expected to win all their games. Barcelona can do well on champions league this time around,  they just need to increase their motivation to win more.
Barcelona is indeed very lucky to be in group H, because in this group it seems that Barcelona has very good match quality. I'm sure Barcelona will lead Group H, because from a game point of view it's clear that Barcelona will beat them quite easily. Even so, Barcelona cannot underestimate their opponent, of course they also have a very mature strategy in dealing with Barcelona. Therefore, the entire Barcelona team must really bring out their full power to crush all opponents in this group or opponents from other groups.
Barcelona was drawn in to a group that they're very likely to qualify to the knockout stages of the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League competition and I think the club manager will be very happy with the draw.
That being said, Barcelona must not underrate any of the teams that was drawn alongside with them if they really want to make it out of that group. They were ousted in the group stages of the competition last season but with this season group stage draw, Barcelona are gonna play in the knockout stage.

I checked what happened when Atletico Madrid hosted Sevilla the last time and saw this.  Grin

Would we see a similar result again two days later? Atletico Madrid are in an amazing shape now so who knows maybe it will happen. They are like the opposite poles of a magnet right now. Sevilla defense is very vulnerable as we have seen it in the matches they played so far. If Alaves can score 4 goals against them in a home match Atletico Madrid can do a similar work surely.
I thought it was the best nonsense from Sevilla last season even though in the end Sevilla managed to win the Europa League title and qualify for the Champions League. Maybe it's unreasonable to expect Sevilla to repeat the same mistakes this season, but Sevilla are still very consistent with their poor performance without points in the first 3 matches this season.

Atletico Madrid playing at home, of course they are superior to win. But after all this is a big match in which in essence it is hoped that there will be the best performances from both teams. Sevilla must recover and get good form from their performance, meaning they must end their bad trend in the last 3 matches and start collecting points.

Honestly the timing for Sevilla to play an away game against Atletico this weekend is about the worst from all possibilities. Atletico Madrid is hyped and conceded only one goal so far. This is definitely not going to be the game when Sevilla can manage to get the turnaround done for this season. I would really not bet a single penny on a Sevilla win and I think a draw would be too optimistic already.

They saved their last season in a way that every other club which is in trouble or fighting against relegation could only dream of. Screwing up the whole season with consistently bringing bad results, then winning the Europa League and even making it into the Champions League! Cheesy Just from the perspective of achievements, last season was one of the most successful seasons Sevilla had Cheesy

Ridiculous performance from Sevillistas Los Rojiblancos this new season. It's definitely going to be really bad if they failed to grab a point in the latest league games. José Luis Mendilibar having some challenges in giving hope for his team and the supporters. Going three games with a win or a draw tie, they're currently sitting at bottom table. Perhaps they will try their best to fight against Atletico Madrid this weekend. Diego Simeone men are ready to hosts the visitors at Estadio Civitas Metropolitano, definitely a tough one because they shouldn't create any room to underestimate Sevilla.

Atletico Madrid started really different this season. What do you think?
Yes, that's right. After previously getting a draw against Betis, of course, did not make Atletico Madrid satisfied, they shaved off Vallecano by winning 7 goals without reply playing as a guest at home to Vallecano. Of course, Vallecano supporters were very disappointed to see their club shaved off by Ateltico Madrid. after that victory put Atletico madrid in 2nd place in the LaLiga standings.

Since LaLiga this season started, I have seen Atletico Madrid play not as usual. They played very well, so the communication between the players on the field was very good, so it was easier to score goals against Vallecano, especially when I saw Vallecano's back line, which always gave gaps so it was easy for Atletico Madrid to score goals. Vallecano is easy, of course besides all that thanks to the strategy implemented by Simeone, I think we need to see in the next match next week against Sevilla which has a bad record of losing in a row since LaLiga started, this is Atletico Madrid's chance to steal points again.

What you say is true, I totally agree with you. I too see the extreme effort he puts into playing and winning and I don't understand what's happening. Maybe an athletic fitness issue? The players seem really tired and tried, exhausted.
