I just bought some tokens from Lakebanker's sale. I really hope none of those services are scam. In the meanwhile, it would be interesting to have more input from users who actually use the service currently.

Yes, lakebtc is not a scam, I have used it and the service they provide is excellent though they may be having poor customer support at times but i can recommend that service to anyone. It is still a very good service.

LakeBTC is a SCAM!

hi, i use lakebtc, on and off for more than one year, i think i can talk sonething about this thread.

lakebtc used to be good for personal user, until they launched the lakebanker system, now lakebtc is not appropriate for personal users, especially small buyer/seller.

as far as i know, most of the payment methods listed on lakebtc website, the real processor are lakebankers, so i become one of their lakebankers who help handle requests from other users and earn a fee, and the fee is not cheap for payment methods like paypal.

but last time, my paypal account was closed since I handled too many requests of paypal  Sad  so i no longer deal with such requests, although there are still so many reminders with paypal, neteller, skrill etc, i always ignored them.

I saw somebody upstairs said that local exchange is more lucrative, lol, are you serious? unless your country has big exhcanges like bitstamp, coinbase, otherwise, local exchanges will suck you more bloods, higher buy and lower sell, refer to localbitcoins.com

summary, if you are big buyer/sellers, or frequent traders, or local retailers , then lakebtc is still very suitable for you.

Hello everyone
I stumbled upon this BTC exchange site ' https://www.lakebtc.com/ '.
any one used it before ?
thanks !
LakeBTC is the one of the top chinese exchanges they offer excellent fees if you are from china can use those exchanges.

I m not from china...
So why you are looking for a site that is not the exchange of the country you live, I do not know where you live but my advice to use the local exchange will be much more lucrative for you.
Yes, it's usually better to use your local exchange, since it'll be easier to contact them if need be. Or you don't like to use your local exchange, just go with the more well-known/established ones out there.
Personally, I avoid exchanges from china. (I find it too risky for me.It's a preference.)
There's localbitcoins,coinbase,poloniex,virwox,bitstamp,btc-e,circle,paxful. You got a lot of choices.
Anyway, yes, looks like lakebtc is legit.

I think OKCoin and a few other bitcoin exchanges are better than the Lake BTC.

IF you are not from china than you can see coinbase supported country list to find your country. If they accept your countries cards you can use them, however there is several ocassions where coinbased deposits and withdraw gone missing. Or there are many other bitcoin exchangers try them. I have done few trading only in bitfinex, poloniex and yobit till now, never tried latebtc but they seem to exist for years and from registered company.

They are based in Shanghai, but I checked their site and there is not even Chinese Language available to choose from.
So their target is mainly traders from different countries than China. As you can choose languages like: English, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish.
Information on Lakebtc seems to be written primarily in English, and even if you chose different language most of the texts won't change.

Some major crypto related news services released press notes about this exchange tho.
You can read them here: https://www.lakebtc.com/s/about
