I'll echo what other's have already said - for just trading you don't need much computing power at all. I'm doing most of mine on a Dopo with Windows 10 (haven't heard of it? Didn't think so, lol...). It was the $100 special at Best Buy.

That being said, if you're planning on keeping some of your alts in their native wallets instead of just the exchanges, which would be wise, you need something powerful enough to do virtualization - run Windows or OS of choice inside of Windows or OS of choice. It looks like either of the machines you've picked out should do that without trouble. I voted for the Asus just because I like the slightly smaller screen.

Hope that helps.

Hi guys! I am always dreaming of becoming an altcoin trader. There are lot of opportunities in crypro world. May I have a list of laptop you are using for trading? My budget is only for $500 to $600. Any recommendations will be appreciated.  Wink
I converted my smartphone into a linux desktop. And it is working for me. I am trading through bitshares/openledger dex.  You don't need anything fancy for trading. Simple things will suffice.

You don't need a particular powerful computer for trading. If that's your sole purpose you could even do it on a few year old computer. Purchase the laptop which you believe would be useful for other things you plan on doing. Don't base it on trading.
