Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
It seems your transaction has been confirmed according to the transaction ID you posted which has 184 confirmations already and confirmed by Bixin, so I guess you should always use the recommended fee, using the site linked above so this will not happen anymore on your side. Anyways this thread must be lock already.

try using a different wallet that gives you a better fee estimation (give electrum a try). and also you can always check out this website: http://bitcoinfees.21.co/ for more information on fees.
you fee was really low since the appropriate fee should have been around 300 satoshi/byte and you had 88.

it was mostly luck that lead to the confirmation of your transaction but also the fact that in the past few days, despite the still large number of transactions in mempool, the fees have come down and that shows the fact that most of those transactions have very low amount of fee.

Either that was a bizarre stroke of luck, or someone reading this just did me a big favor.

Yes, it's another one of those "my blockchain.info transaction is stuck" posts. But this is a decent chunk of change!

On May 20th I attempted to send myself 3btc from my blockchain wallet to an outside exchange, and was planning on holding those 3 coins as an investment at the start of the price frenzy. Well, in my idiotically timed, OCD-induced zeal to receive exactly 3btc on the other end, I slightly lowered the default fee so I could receive the round number of coins. At the time I didn't realize that a) a severe bottleneck was in the works and b) reducing the fee carries the risk of severely reducing transaction time. Lesson learned. Maybe try learning with smaller transfers next time?

Anyway, here's the transaction:

Was my fee that outrageously low? I tried signing up for viabtc's accelerator, but got the "submissions are beyond limit" error. So yeah, beyond moving away from blockchain in the future, what else can I do to fix my problem now? Blockchain's useless support says the transaction should be dropped within 7 days, but yeah that doesn't seem to be happening, so...
