agree with this...2050, the world is very modern, extraordinary technological advances throughout the earth and surely people will increasingly leave the religion of God and believe more with their own minds and technology.
I think in the year 2050 the largest religion in the whole world is still the Roman Catholic because we know that is the largest nunber of members and most of the country now the population is christianity. Im a baptist christian they have same beliefs but we have different for the others just respect each belief about religion.

muslim is also growing and growing mate so i think they can be the largest in 20150 since we have 30 years more.but for me?it doesnt matter what religion we are involving at,what is important our love for humanity and for the creator.

In my opinion, the largest religion will be the absence of religion. Statistically Gen Z is the least religious generation and even a lot of millennials in developed countries are atheists. But this is probably not gonna happen by 2050, maybe more later like 2075-2100.

If anything, they are far more religious than many religions today. Catholics? Numbers are hyper-inflated (because in many country the State pays them money for every registered catholic), and many just stick to baptism and funerals, not even bothering with Sunday mass, oh and occasionally marriage because its fashionable...
The rest of the Christians are a mixed bag, some devote, some only appearances.
I still have to find out why Muhammad wanted people to pray towards the city he was born (i know, a revelation, but still...), or why they were praying towards Jerusalem before that. There are currently over 1 billion Catholics in the world today. This doesn't include other Christian denominations such as Anglican, Baptist, Orthodox, Protestant, etc, so Christianity is by far the largest religion and will most likely still be the largest in 2050.

Atheism and agnosticism are very different. You could say Atheism is a religion, as it brings its own dogma and faith (in non believing) while the agnostics choose a more humble open minded posture.
Modern china... still tends to follow a lot of old customs and silly practices, some dating to their traditional religions. They also influenced their neighbors who tend to do the same to this day, even in the most christian Asian country of Korea...

Christianity had a chance, but has failed. Same as the Jewish. Islam itself may be failing as well, and the time to unite them all is near.
You could also say God is eternal, and even religions may come and go, regardless of what you believe. But to not believe, means you are denying your own existence in a faith of non believing, as you cannot tell where you come and where you are going, which is the reason of all.
