We all can notice that coronavirus outbreak has echoed almost in every aspect of socio-economic life. Although many of us wonder, whether Bitcoin overcomes such a recession and gets back to the top dog position in crypto? Some experts like Leonid Matveev, Head of Trading Analytics at Waves Platform think that the mass hysteria will come to an end and Bitcoin price will successfully stabilize, and halving can also be benefiting for the Bitcoin price. Others like Alexey Markov from United Traders think that the current price drop is natural, and it’s still 20% higher than last year. What do you think about Bitcoin’s price during the Coronavirus hysteria? Will it contribute to a better change with potential growth? Or it is the beginning of the end?

It seems like the recent virus has affected not only people’s health but also the content of their wallets. Many businesses have gone through financial hell because of insufficient cash flow, low reserves, and complications with loans and debt restructuring. On top of this, the mining industry in China may come to an end due to the impetuous departure of the crypto community. Throughout the years, Bitcoin has had a positive correlation with gold and a negative one with the stock market. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the situation has reversed. Now gold keeps growing past the 2013 levels, while Bitcoin is plummeting along with stocks. Also, experts say that the decrease in China’s electricity consumption may lead to a dead-end for mining farms with a consequent drop in the total hash rate. What do you think about coronavirus affecting the bitcoin industry? Is it what we really need to be afraid of?

When we look at the countries that are adapting to the ever-changing crypto-world, it seems like Germany is the one who takes it precautiously slow. Nonetheless, Germany has one of the oldest Bitcoin exchanges in the world: Bitcoin.de. Plus, for Germany can be quite a lucrative space for crypto-projects and business. Its regulation crypto policy states that a Bitcoin sold after one year of holding is not subject to taxation. But why is it still adjusting to crypto in a meticulously unhurried way? Alex Anarcho, the Germany-based cryptocurrency publication editor and economist, suggests that the lack of adaptative regulation for crypto results in unfulfilled potential. What do you think about highly prospective crypto countries that decelerate its progress because of bureaucracy?

Is there a moment when it is too late to invest in Bitcoin, and if so, how to understand that it has come? If we analyze the history of price drops, periods of correction are almost inconsequential, comparing to Bitcoin’s massive growth. It's really hard to predict the "prime time" for selling them when real winners in Bitcoin investment are those who did not sell their Bitcoins when there was a tendency to do it. Moreover, some experts even suggest depositing small “portions” of Bitcoin in order to accumulate investment within some time. What do you think about investing in Bitcoin? What are your ways of investing in it? Spill it out.

Lucius, adeandro, and kryptqnick, thank you for your opinions and appreciation. And sorry if we made a mistake. Let me explain, please.

We've been thinking for a while where to post this thread. While we are indeed a media outlet, we thought that Press would not be suitable for what we had in mind. After all, it's just about news, a short lead, and a link. We, on the other hand, were more thinking along the lines of offering some unique content and discussing it. And as we didn't want to spam the forum with numerous threads, we opted for creating just one.

What we are about, after all, is to create some value that, in our opinion, some other crypto-themed media have lost or even lacked, to begin with. We're not judging, of course. We set up a mission of telling "what's up with crypto and why it's important." To that end, we wish to become a place where everyone from the crypto-community could get some great insights or express their valuable opinion in the form of a comment or an op-ed, or even an interview. It's just because Bitcoin was a community effort in the first place, and we try to keep up with that philosophy in what we do as a media.

We're not newbies, anyway. Most of us got involved in Bitcoin back in 2012 or so. First, we started ForkLog.com, which has become the biggest crypto-themed media in Russian. We got some expertise from that and took our lumps in the process. Now we seek to reach a broader audience with the same values as before. And those values would be to produce interesting and quality content while keeping up the unbiased approach as much as humanly possible. We're all people after all.

P.S. I've amended the initial post accordingly.

forklog.media — what's up with crypto and why it's important

I really don't understand why as a news portal you're making a post and attaching many links to social networks but not to your website.
Anyway, I found it and decided to check it out. I like the design, I guess, even though the way the articles are shown in these almost equal blocks is not something I am used to.
The partnership with coingecko sounds like a big deal, congratulations! It's sad not to see anything about it on their website, though. The stuff you post seems legit, and it looks like you're really putting effort in what you do. I am usually skeptical about new things, but it seems to me that you have a chance of sticking around!

Therefore, this board would not be appropriate for advertising your site, no matter what you claim to have other intentions. You will get the best traffic for your site if you do good SEO and invest in other forms of advertising.

I absolutely agree with you. If they don't change their post, it's unlikely it will fit any board and they will lose a lot of useful traffic.

If you're already doing something, then do it by following the rules of the forum. We have dedicated board for Bitcoin news, and if you have something relevant and valuable to post in my opinion it should be posted in Press. However, the way you think you are going to do it belongs to nothing else, but to what you have already done in past.

Therefore, this board would not be appropriate for advertising your site, no matter what you claim to have other intentions. You will get the best traffic for your site if you do good SEO and invest in other forms of advertising.
