Firstly I am very new to this, but reasonably computer literate ;-)

I downloaded and installed Electrum and had a few inbound transactions that appeared (as expected) and eventually a little green tick appeared by them.. Suddenly they all disappeared and left one of the earliest transactions only. I can see the inbound transactions on blockchain and they are all unspent.

No new transactions have appeared although I should have a couple more inbound, these are showing on blockchain.

I have my password and seed. No matter what I do I can not seem to restore or get the transactions back into the wallet..

I had assumed that once they were in Electrum they would stay there! - I imagine there is something I am not doing...

Any useful or pointers welcomed - or trusted knowledge bases.

Its not a lot of bitcoin, but as many have said before me, its best to learn with a few to get it right! The more of us that use it the better.

Thanks in advance

There's a problem with electrum clients connecting to electron cash servers.
Go to tools>network and deselect "autoconnect to servers" and select a fully electrum server (one with the greatest block height).

Hi Thanks for the reply

Ive done that now and it is re syncing I will update as and when it finishes.

I just realised I was connected to the same one as you earlier. If you can't work out which one to connect to "electrum.hsmiths.com" I know definitely works (I'm connected to it).

Sounds like Electrum is having trouble syncing the block headers... Do you have a green dot in the bottom right corner of the Electrum window or blue arrows or a red dot?

Regardless of which one you have, when you click it, it should bring up the network settings, what is the "blocks" value? it should be 484,000+

Thanks for the reply

A green dot and 484,500.
