Go for an announcement thread where regular updates can be broadcasted for the visibility of the users. Apart from this campaigns, other promotional programs will help making the project visible to the cryptocommunity. As the marketplace is much associated with education and learning there needs to be strong base to set the ecosystem function without flaw.

Be sure to market your project well! I would utilize a signature campaign and maybe some SEO to put yourself in the public's eyes so you can grow even faster!

Thanks for creating a marketplace which accepts cryptocurrency. We need plenty more entrepreneurs just like you in the ecosystem.

i am sure they will because they say that it was thier mvp project  .hearing the word mvp , the first thing come to my mind was the greatness or the goodness of this project but i dont think that a sig campaign will be a good idea  because this is not a kind of investment but its only a marketplace  but seo  and simillar marketing methods would be a good idea  .

id also like to thank and congratulate op for making this possible and yes we need more simillar projects like this because projects like this are still few  .

We have different perception regarding on MVP butt anyways I will agree with you that SEO marketing is a must if he want a massive traffic to he's site but actually having a signature campaign is a good option to I'm kinda positive for this marketing since actually if he targets the crowd who use crypto then it's a perfect option for him to do since we have a great number users here and having an ads is a good + for his product.
Signature campaigns or bounty campaigns are an effective way of promotion but you should not forget that OP might really need to have a strong financial background so that he might fund the campaigns himself to keep them running. Running signature campaigns is not an cheaper task and it really needs some higher amount of funds to get stated.

4+ weeks signature campaign can be beneficial as the longer the participants would wear your signature, the more they would promote your project with each of their post. Also bounty campaign would need your base token to pay to the hunters which might not be possible in the current situation of OP as he might not have any base/utility token.

The first thing to look out for, is a proper server configuration and proper security for future clients and what is this marketplace you are talking about ? how does it work ? you need to clearly explain what is this website for and what is your roadmap. ?
If you want it to be successful hire an SEO manager, create campaigns like signature or bounty, in short advertise more and the product. If its useful then investors will come surging to you but if it fails you need to rework it.
Crypto marketplaces are usually getting more beneficial as well as popular so most of the investors would turn themselves towards investing into the such platforms.

Marketing would always play an effective role in running these kind of projects from the start so any individuals who are even thinking to launch such marketplace should first try to think about an effective mean of marketing as there is a whole lot of competition in between the markets and you really need a strong marketing team behind any such platform so that most of the peoples might come to know about your marketplace. Also try to cover as much information as possible in the Initial stage itself so that peoples could bookmark your thread and speculate your marketplace until it is entirely been developed.

It is good to have a project that is completely dedicated to the marketplace related activities. I personally find this to be a necessary one going through the core concept. Here it is all about making teachers and students come together and discuss and share knowledge. This is a needed thing amd if surely succeeds. In India one such marketplace that got started in small scale is now the official sponsor for the Indian Cricket team.

In a marketplace platform one of the most important thing to consider its the security of your marketplace platform. This is very crucial because a good marketplace platform can be marred with just a simple and little security breech.  So in all your coding make sure there are not loopholes for hackers and internet fraudsters to exploit.  And also make sure that your payment gateways are trustworthy and rapidly reponsive at all times

The Alpha version of the Atheneum Marketplace (AMP) will be launching soon.  It's our project's MVP.  The purpose is to create a free market ecosystem where instructors and students can directly interact without institutional costs.  For those of you that have launched marketplaces before (or maybe even utilized an alpha version of a marketplace) what unforeseen elements emerged for you that needed to be dealt with?

Trust! Team up with escrow services

In launching a marketplace, you need to undergo an extensive research and study about the business you'll be entering for there's a lot to consider for your business to grow strong and successfully standing still for a long run.  Growing a traditional ecommerce business in a sustainable manner requires you to be in the "Goldilocks zone" where your free cash flow, operating expenses and inventory sync up. Otherwise, you can end up growing yourself out of business. One of the things that might emerged along the run is the competitors that might stole your costumers. Also, you could start with doing this basic steps so you could start up correctly.

Whenever I see or hear marketplace, the first thing that comes to my mind is Escrows. How is third party system set up in your marketplace though? This is one very importance aspect as you all know that buying and selling is very risky.

We need to devise a automated way of escrow which protects both the buyers and the sellers.

Glad to inform you that there already is a marketplace with automated community Escrow! Check out coinmall.com
Our Escrow includes Dabs, minerjones and a few other very reputable users from Bitcointalk

Very Cool.  Thank you very much.

So the purpose for this project is to create a platform or marketplace (as you said) where instructors and students can interact without institutional costs.

Okay, but if I’m right… students are still going to pay instructors for the services right ? Uhhm… that’s quite good, I’ve seen a lot of platforms like that, where people teach students online and get paid for it, but I’m guessing when it comes to yours they will be making payments in cryptocurrency. Like how many people do you think will be ready for that ?

I think it goes without saying that security in your code, with special attention to your payment gateway are crucial.  This is an absolute must when you have real money changing hands, this is especially important if the site will accept crypto as it puts a giant target on your head for hackers.

The only concern for every market place is on the basis of security. Several online market place that promises some independent and flexible listing even in the fiat world have closed because of that as a lot of bad individuals infested the platform in other to defraud innocent individuals and rip them off their hard earned resources.

If you can secure that part of the market place, then every other thing is a challenge that can be surpassed with time with constant update and readiness for change.

Wow this is a good marketplace if ever it has been launched and operating. There's a big demand for students that are looking for great instructors/tutors.

We need to devise a automated way of escrow which protects both the buyers and the sellers.
Yes, a reputable member from the forum would be fine as mentioned by coinmall.
