Kind of made me panic a little, cause I then tried to login to mine, also didn't get the email immediately, and then it did come in >5 mins later. I generally don't have this issue at all, since always almost on same device and even same IP.

Glad all is okay.

My burning question now is... what is this weird string of characters they tried to ask you to add to the link to make it work? Seems like a really strange workaround, I wouldn't like to know there's a way to get in by adding some strange string to my attempt =p

I received the emails 12 hours later lol, about 10 of them..lol

They also responded with when i contacted them, but it did not work, they said to add a weird string of letters/numbers to the login but that failed.

I simply went went back the last latest email i received, clicked the link and all OK.

It must be something their end with regards, it states 'If you do not receive an email withing an hour, try again'

Think they need to change it 10 12 hours.

Cheers

That's ridiculous, you should email their support about it.

This is unacceptable given the fact that you hold a balance with them that you're supposed to be able to access at any given time, on demand. This essentially takes away from that. They could cite technical difficulties all they want, but the onus is on them to provide users with on demand access to their funds.

Let us know what they respond with, please.

I sometimes think it could be due to a technical glitch by the Email service provider whereby several requested emails get jammed for a few minutes or even hours and then after you receive all of them at once.

This kind of thing has happened to me before and trust me, i was in your shoes and was so pissed at support of the service i was trying to log into thinking it was their problem.
Happens with SMS verifications too at times.

I don't think it's related to the email service at all, but more so an error/delay on the side of the company where the communication to the email server isn't happening for whatever the reason might be. Perhaps an idea for OP to have LBC investigate where the problem occurred, but I'm not sure if he's interested in that considering that he got it working now.

What email service(s) have you been using when these delays occurred? I personally have never faced one single delay when it comes to receiving an email. At most there could be a delay when there are high mb files included, but that delay generally isn't more than a couple of minutes, and that doesn't apply to OP at all. In my case, I have been using hotmail and gmail.

Sometimes it happens but its all for your security, if you don't want this in future you can turn off your login guard but highly not recommended if you have any balance left on your wallet.

My guess is one of the three applies here:

1. Something's wrong with whichever company you're using for email/check the spam folder;
2. Someone hacked into your account and managed to change the email address but didn't change the password;
3. You've actually used a different email address to create your LBC account (happened to me once a long time ago, took embarrassingly long to figure this out).

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
EDIT - Logged out, snet them a message had the usual respnse 'we take things seriously...etc...

'Your support ticket is #XXXXX3 and we have sent you a confirmation email'

Is this a message from their support email? What email are you using? I recommend gmail if its not what you're using.
Have you tried to open your promotions folder also the spam folder?

Localbitcoins were perfectly legit on their services. The service team is quite strong and very eager to help the people who require support. Maybe with more and more people into cryptocurrency the market widening will happen. There is quite a strong team behind localbitcoins. The difficulty experienced by users were easily handled by the team which will sought and give conclusions.
Used to use them back then. The new emails would come in swiftly. When they started enforcing KYC, that's when i also stopped using them.

Have you tried checking your Junk or spam folder. Still, very weird that they claim they sent you and email yet you haven't received any.

Yes i seen their policy update when i first logged in, so i proceeded to accept that and got the above again?

What do you reckon is my next step, clear google chrome of cookies and cache?

I've used the site for years and i'm at the top level tier.

Just never logged in on this laptop.

I still have my old one but it will only run in safe mode with wifi....It's ancient with no screen so i have to use a separate monitor

Thanks for the reply.

It must be related to their new policies or something, never seen them 'box's' displayed before?

Cheers

Hi All

I am using a new Laptop and i'm unable to trade, i can log in, but it is asking for a confirmation email, which i have waited for over 1 hour (as they stated).

I have tried x5 times now/6 hours..

When after the hour i then try the 'Contact Us'  button which directs me to the EXACT page as above to enter my email address?

Any ideas how i resolve this, ive been using LBC for YEARS!!!

Thanks

EDIT - I even tried two of my other email addresses and it comes up as ERROR _ PLEASE ENTER CORRECT EMAIL ADDRESS

I enter it again and still nothing???

I tried to login with my computer bro. There is no problem for me here.

I believe there might be cache error on your browser so please check that well. Then there was the policy update on using localbitcoins.com. Please confirm that there is any issue over there or not.
