Gaming? I mean, yea I understand that using an alias when playing but that's part of the game experience and doesn't really warrant you to becoming anonymous.
I've already answered that I tolerated gambling industry and choose the name "Gaming". I don't know why this comment was deleted by moderator. After all, they called theirselves IGaming Industry.
Besides, I think, skill games, online e-sport tutorials are also belong here. I don't think tha it worse to divide every sort of gaming into different niches.

If it was gambling then maybe, but it isn't really needed, especially in situations where the casino itself is legal. Additionally, it isn't really any leading type of industry but just more on finance and banking no? I mean, it's a digital currency after all. It's directly connected to any industry that is a part of something that requires payments and the like. It's kind of like a currency that could be accepted everywhere, as long as the other side allows it. The biggest industry affected currently though would probably gambling and shopping I think.

Gambling industry. Trade in prohibited goods. Unfortunately, this is still the case.

The companies with the highest Bitcoin turnover are exchanges, they're making huge profits from their trading fees since this is a very active market. Next will be gambling, there's a lot of Bitcoin casinos which deal with millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin. And that's pretty much it, all other industries are tiny compared to these two in terms of economic activity. Mixers would probably take third place.

How can you gather accurate information about such research?
There are hundreds of websites that accept BTC payments, but most of them are really small and you have to search a lot,in order to find them.
I don't think, that small sites can significantly affect on something.

You should exclude banking from your list.I don't know about any banks, that accept cryptocurrency payments.

1. Please, watch the link provided by LeGaulois A Massive List of 100 Companies That Accept Bitcoin as a Payment

2. Banking industry doesn't mean only banks. This is also fin.tech companies.

Hey bitcointalk society!
Last time I  wondered, what industries really had profit from bitcoin payments. Unfortunatelly, I didn't find a quality research about it.
But based on logic I can suggest that these are the industries where clients would like to keep their anonymity + the industries with a big turnover. Examples:
Banking & Finance, Gaming, Travel,Digital goods, Adult industry.
What do you think? Would it be interesting for you such type of research with the true figures?

The main online industries that accept BTC payments are:gambling, sports betting, adult, gaming and webhosting.

There are countless gambling companies advertising in bitcointalk, this alone will give us the idea of how much this industry had benefit in the growth of online gambling and Bitcoin. I don't look at it so bad since its still considered business. Financial industry is also among and its not surprising we are dealing with currencies.

Web hosting/Cloud also is one of the biggest industries using Bitcoin, and for a simple reason, Paypal isn't available in every country and a lot of people don't have a debit card.

If you look for this type of list (there are plenty of others) you can see that the major industries are generally online shopping, gambling, hosting, services.

I doubt the porn industry is using BTC a lot as we may think, probably a few bitcoiners but I don't think there are persons in this industry suddenly starting to use BTC because . Anonymity can't be a reason because I'm sure they don't really care about it

Webhosting could be one. There are even domain registrars who accepts BTC too.

Exactly, banking and finance comes the first part for them because this is foremost important in human's life. I would appreciate their wonderful Invention especially on the development to avoid banks.

Also if the transactions made faster I am sure BTC will be the undertake banks and will become the dominator, however they have to focus on emerging economic markets to achieve more.

I believe lending projects are making hell of money like Nexo  which is very popular. I think some centralized exchanges are making huge money from listing fees to transaction fees. Lending projects that are successful and transparent ought to be making more bitcoin turnover.

There is no data anywhere in the world that can provide reliable data on this subject yet.
Of course, but it's possible to count "on average" to look at the force balance. Sure thing, it's not possible for p2p transactions.

That would definitely be interesting. I understand there would be clients to such businesses who would like to remain anonymous. But that doesn't stop researchers from getting a bird's-eye view on how the businesses are doing.

Do you have reference to any such researchers?
I am imaging something related to this https://prnt.sc/rznddv but about bitcoin, not about all online payments

There is no data anywhere in the world that can provide reliable data on this subject yet. Therefore, it is not possible to find a clear answer to both the question you asked before and this question.

No country has yet officially accepted the existence of Bitcoin. Yes, there are some applications, tax payments and court orders. However, none of them are subject to a legal regulation. So we need this first to get data. However, even if this is happening, you may not get clear data. Because Bitcoin payments are anonymous. For this reason, it may not be possible to get information about why the payments are made and to whom.

It is always interesting to read researches from specific data and topic that you're covering.

But based on logic I can suggest that these are the industries where clients would like to keep their anonymity + the industries with a big turnover. Examples:
Banking & Finance, Gaming, Travel,Digital goods, Adult industry.
Consider also online gambling, it's a big industry for bitcoin.
