It's actually the complete opposite, OWS was ignored by most of MSM at the beginning. Whether you agree with their views or not, don't you think that US gov powers are getting out of control?

I think they are going about the war on terror the wrong way. The government seems to think that the answer to stopping terrorism is big data, but this is not the case. Law enforcement needs the proper channels to communicate with each-other, but other then that large amounts of information is not necessary.

The problem is that the government wants all of our information (not just the 'bad' guys), the 'war on terror' is just an excuse for creating their global surveillance system. The Snowden files have already shown that one of their main goals is to conduct corporate and political espionage whilst also tracking our every move to pre-emptively squash any form of social movements / revolutions etc like OWS.

What I get from this and the other classified documents wikileaks released is that there is a monster called the government thinking it is over and above the common citizens and all people in it.
Unless you work inside those agencies then your just a cog in the machine there is no one around to take responsibility for their actions and strategies.

They don't care about terrorism. They needed a boogie man to build the infrastructure that will be used to suppress you within the next 20 years...

If we don't shut these programs down while we still can then all we're doing is conceding the defeat of liberty and natural human rights. The staircase is built one step at a time, and this one leads straight to Hell on Earth...

The war on terror basically means war on the people, anyone who disagrees or is disliked is a terrorist. Everyone is in the terror database, I mean this is just a supplement to the mass surveillance database that has data on the private lives of billions of people.

In an interview with Democracy Now!, investigative reporters Jeremy Scahill and Ryan Devereaux of The Intercept spoke about obtaining a leaked copy of a government guidebook, indicating that the Obama administration’s expansion of the national terrorist watchlist system. According to the book, "irrefutable evidence or concrete facts are not necessary" to be deemed a "terrorist" target.
