And yes, they will continue to write in bad English. Because in local forums the problem with a merit!
I created in the Russian local forum that it is better to earn merit on the English local forum  Grin Grin

Is this some kind of a justification? I will continue to write bad because I have no merit? Really?
-why are you stealing? -because I don't have enough money and I want money. And yes, I will continue because it's not my fault, it's the fault of the money! If you made money widely available I wouldn't have to steal it!
No, these a people were put in such conditions. There is a Russian proverb "if you want to live you need a revolve"

Hey non native English speakers:

If you are going to post on the English boards at least learn to read and write at a 3rd grade level.   Just stick to your own language if you can't make comprehensible posts.

That may not be the case, as practice makes perfect if learning is active, yes they might not be fluent with English Language, but learning is accumulated over a period of time.

I definitely dont have problem with those who dont write English well, because they arent native English speaker, if I am able to connect the dots am good with that but I don't like find its crack myself up that much anyway.

They have put in some effort to be able to write that small, So allow them practice what they learn and in no time they become better.

I can see all these vituperations are for Merit sake. I hope this doesn't rob in badly. But on a serious note, reading posts in broken English is always migraine induced. Nobody needs that kind of a headache just to comprehend a post.

No, these posters won't stick to their local competences because posts in local boards don't usually count in signature campaigns.

Its clearly the user's fault that they are being criticized by native English speakers here in the forum. They knew that this is a English forum and we are lucky enough to have local boards provided for us to broaden our knowledge about bitcoin within the forum. It provides us many things and as long as we are not abusing any services we are allowed to stay as long as we want. Staying here is a matter of choice and no one is forcing anyone to stay but it we should follow the rules and one of them is to be understandable or else stick with the local boards. If you wanted to post in general threads then enhance your fluency in English or just make your thoughts readable and precise. We know they are also being considerate in their own ways. I am not really against them though I pity some of my fellowmen and other non native English speakers. Just try not to complain too much I guess.

And what would be the proper price for that contest? +1 merit for constantly dwelling to learn English language it'll be a benign price for someone who can not really construct well. Smiley

Spoken- and written- English are very different ones, which requires different skills. The forum is designed for discussions via written threads, that means your topic tittle is seriously wrong.
So, what should you do to contribute to the forum if you misunderstood such a basic term?
Stop spamming the Meta board and sharpen your English (improving writing skill and spend more time to compose, proofread your threads) before posting next time.

I try to enlighten myself and others here. Maybe you wanted to say that you are sometimes in confusion whenever your friends as newbies ask if it is possible to post a thread in specific child boards in Indonesian since many of them still have no idea how to write in English properly?
If the answer is yes, just suggest them to post in the local child board for now while improving their English by themselves.

Why don't you just report those incomprehensible posts and let the mods delete them?
They can't understand English in the first place, so they surely can't understand what you are saying in your post.

Many people in the locals doesn't have the ability to speak other languages properly ,that's why they're just using the translator in the internet and it maybe the reason why their grammar doesn't really suit from what they're pointing/ speaking of which. They're not also capable of using any punctuations, as long as they can type it then they're ok with that.
People as of now, despite their ages, they didn't seem to give time to educate themselves. And we all know that's a foolish thing, trying to speak their language without paying attention on how it was spoken on a proper way just means they're kind of insulting it.
Although maybe these would be tough for them, but its not a reason for not trying to be a good one.

It's tough for the members that speak English as a second language, but I agree the main problem is more than likely when some are just trying to boost their post count. This guy started a thread in the beginner's section which could be helpful to those actually looking to improve.

Otherwise, it's more your problem that you can't understand what others write
I'd strenuously disagree with this.  I'm not going to waste a nanosecond trying to decipher someone's broken-English post unless I think there's something really important that I need to read.  99.999% of posts written by busted-ass-English members aren't worth reading.

If you can't state your thoughts correctly in English, that's your problem, not the reader's.  That's like blaming the automobile owner for his shitty AM radio reception.

We all know why we have this problem:  Sig campaigns only pay for posts in the English section, not on local boards.  I so wish that would change.  That would do more for the forum than probably 10 merit systems put together.

I agree that some of the post in this forum is mix in different language. Its very frustrating to a newbie like me that wanna learn something in this forum but hardly to understand because of those post.I am not an english speaker nor fluent in english obviously but Im trying my best to write in full english because that is really needed in this forum so that everyone can understand.

I agree with OP to some extent. If you don't know proper english but are trying to ask a legit question it's fine. When you're mixing English and Indonesian or some other language together it frustrates me. I know I may sound like a dick, but when I see post in a local language or half local half English in the English board I click report faster than you can say "google translate" Wink

Most of the world does not speak English, I think so long as you can see they are trying to be understandable, and not just completely shitposting then it's fine. There are local language boards, but they don't have nearly as much content and opportunity as the main forum. The merit system will take a while to weed out the newbie/jr shitposts, but eventually they'll release they're wasting their time trying to boost their account/s up.

https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
I'd say most of the time if someone writes in English but it's not very well put together you still should be able to interpret what it is supposed to be.

Otherwise, it's more your problem that you can't understand what others write if it's not in the correct grammatical English format (maybe your own language skills could do with a slight improvement) .

Bilingual posts aren't too much of a bad idea but if you're going to post solely in your own language you have to stick to local boards which I guess is quite and issue as there won't be as many users on those boards to join in on discussions.

Your posts are pretty insubstantial though (fyi) ref
