Get over it my friend. First of all, expect every project that isn't unique (like come on there are hundreds of projects in the leasing industry) to have loads of fake followers.

Secondly, most accounts, even legit ones, have 30% fake bots and followers. It's a big pain to remove and detect them!
Why you should pretend to be a legit startup when you lie from the very beginning.
Its just not fair.
Its not a shame to have very few likes if you a startup, why then you should start by a scam.

I just saw this from a website they are listed on:

Looks like they have almost half of their followers and group members faked. 30% so far into fake members and followers.. Why you should do this when you are suppose to be transparent when you do an ICO?
How reliable should that company be?

They need to do this to attract investors to think that they really have big influence  and followers in the project they created.

Other project also do the same thing  in telegram  I know many project hired a persons for mass adding  same thing with other social media channel they are hiring a persons who is best for doing this.

Its not new but the fact that they followers is only fake why would you invest in that project. If a project start with  fake ,I don't think there is also good thing they can do in long run.

I have been following this project for a while and invested in as well, It seems like Leasehold has a Troll:

Let me show the community some things:

First a user registered named fastcharging:
He posted scam accusations about Leasehold. At first I believed him and did some research until he posted this : https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/fortunecook-2802164

He posted a very clearly faked message of him and the CEO Reo Elliott, if you look closer its very obvious to see he was faking this.
Leasehold team posted the enlarged image of his conversation which showed to be fake and this user "fastcharging" then created another account called :

Fortunecook. but still, even after being caught out, he just changes accounts

Fortunecook continued to post fake things and now he has gone and created his 3rd fake account : Ivotefortruth

Ladies and Gentleman I give you the Troll Drum roll""""""""

fastcharging
Fortunecook
Ivotefortruth

Upon Further Investigation I went to the lisk community and asked them who this can be. Many detailed answers with the Lisk community who all assured me the Leasehold team was in fact legit and real , but what was more interesting was the answers we got about these usernames creating the post and then the truth was uncovered!

The person behind this is someone by the name of LISKPRO.
A washed up delegate that was kicked out of Lisk and forging , in which he blames the CEO of LEasehold as well as co-founder of the Elite group, yes yes, LISKPRO LOST HIS FORGING POSITION , and now he attacks all related projects to Lisk and the Elite group!

So now we all have his reasons, and who is, When someone loses financial position in crypto, something like this makes alot of Sense,
community members to please follow up with the lisk community to find out who this person is, he has a known reputation of behaving this way. I think its good news when Trolls do this, means they really care about this project enough to put so much effort.

I checked the accounts (followers). The 26% are the bounty hunters who collect followers with spammy methods like #folowback. An example of an account that worth nothing https://twitter.com/JareinJ. (One of the reasons Twitter campaigns disappeared here by the way)
I think the service you used labeled all followers with spammy hashtags ( #followback #followme #follow4follow, etc) as fake accounts.

But I can also post https://www.twitteraudit.com/LeaseholdHQ
Thank you very much for the info! So the number of followers they try to pretend they have is very misleading so you think you are a part of a bigger thing then what they are actually.

Most of the twitter followers checker tool is not accurate to check if the followers are real or not and maybe all of them are fake. The reason why I think is having followers on twitter profile could attract people to follow the project.

This is a part of marketing strategy and this is always others doing when they want to promote a project.

About other questions. Honestly most of ICO these days are scam I can't find any reliable project.

Why not stay on Bitcoin instead?
