I think they want to get rid of the old stock, before they make the official announcement. The fact that a man-in-the-middle attack (MITM) exploit was found recently, could also lead to a decline in their sales. I own several hardware wallets, including the Ledger Nano S and I have to say, my trust in the browser side of things has taken some knocks.

The way this was handled, is still leaving a funny taste in my mouth. ^grrrrrr^

Yes, those rumours of the blue being canceled are floating around since a few weeks I guess and I am sure they are true. Nevertheless you are right, the company has to announce that immediatly ...

They were kind of discontinued months ago. There were no updates since few months. It is not as good as Ledger Nano S and had low sales too. But it is unprofessional of them to not announce it yet.

Yes, sadly it is true from what I have heard.  But that could also be the rumor mill taking a little info and then spiraling out of control.

But to directly answer your concern, I have heard this in a private twitter DM room about bitcoin.  Usually my info in there is pretty legit.

If it is, I am wondering why ledger havent made a public statement first. They shouldve also told customers who possibly bought it before going out of stock on their site that they will be discontinuing the ledger blue. Deceiving customers isnt a good thing or a good sign of a company who suppose to be trustworthy

While I am not sure if this is true (and also do not know if this is the right place to post this, if its not ill move it), I saw a post on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/7zbcye/ledger_blue_discontinued/) stating that two retailers stated that the ledger blue is being discontinued but there is no noticed from ledger themselves. Do anyone know if this true or have any opinions about this?

If it is true, I would agree with some of the post there because you would expect a company to be upfront and transparent with everything and since ledger is pretty much a close source device, a community cannot support the device. The same would go for ledger nano s and any device they make with the secure element. I also feel that its kind of misleading since I do see post about the ledger blue going to get updates or suppose to have a newer device with improved hardware, but if its everything is true, then it probably wouldnt happen, and those who bought the device before it went out of stock on the website probably would be out of luck since the blue is way behind the nano s.
