well, that's basically saying "hardware wallets can't be used practicably as a hot wallet", which will always be true. You could do it (in theory), but it would mean manually signing everything, so you couldn't realistically route payments.

Yeah and i should emphasize it's the reason HW wallet manufacture don't bother support LN. Even though there's exception for Ledger Nano X (and similar) which aimed for mobile users.

what I meant was, you can skip the stage where you fund the hot wallet, c-lightning negotiate the channel opening with a Lightning peer, and just fail it if you don't fund the opening transaction

Good point

hardware wallet firmware doesn't need to support Lighting directly, lightning clients (e.g. c-lightning) let you pay into channels from any address.

1. request a channel open
2. receive channel address to pay into
3. fund from hardware wallet

pretty easy

Is there really feasibility of applying a lightning network using Hardware wallets, @Ledger said that [1] so but there are many who supported this approach.
I just wanted to move the discussion to this forum. You can support it using reddit.com ---> Upvote this if you want Ledger Live to add Lightning support.
I do not know if this can be used for stores and how it will reduce safety but is not meant for personal use.
