I am quite surprised when you invested in cryptocurrency and  yet you don't know how to add custom token to be able to see the tokens that you have. If you don't want to add custom token on metamask then you can just use the explorer like bscscan for bsc and etherscan for ether and then paste your wallet address that you used to receive the tokens. If you ask me, that's how I usually check my wallet address to check assets on different network. Just visit this link.
Don't be surprised because it is some bit technical to operate that feature specifically to beginners who either ventured into the crypto industry newly or ones who may not have got the experience of investing on multiple tokens.
It is a gradual process of learning as we keep getting exposed with various challenges and strange factors within the crypto industry.
He has passed this one now as he submits that ...it is solved.

I agree. I am a total newbie when it comes to crypto and you don’t have to be an expert in it or even know basic knowledge to invest. It is very easy to make and account and start investing and that is what I did.

I invested in crypto purely to try and better my financial situation and so glad I did now as Bitcoin approaches $80k in the last few hours.

Looks like we are really set for a great end to the year and 2025

I’m actually new to the forum and I will really want to learn how to do it. If you’re an expert on it,you can as well help me out.
So what's your problem/issue to begin with, if its related to your ledger device, your guide is google, youtube and ledger's actual blog article/guide, there are lots of forums like reddit to ask your questions actually.

This has now been resolved.

Why not lock this thread as you have yourself confessed that the issue has been resolved. If the OP doesn't than I will request one of the mods to lock the topic before anyone else can spam this thread.

This has now been resolved.
Why did you delete your opening post and replace it with such a zero context message. I don't think your opening post contained any details which should better be hidden, of course you may feel different. Better handling would've been to leave the opening post, add a [Resolved] at the front of the thread's title and lock the thread.

Can't you imagine that your resolved topic might be of interest for someone else in the same or similar situation? Erasing your motif to post your question is quite selfish. Thanks to ninjastic.space your original post is preserved for those who want to see it: https://ninjastic.space/post/64707676

This has now been resolved - my cold wallet does not support the new token but was able to send to my exchange.
Couldn't find any quote of your post but since it's being resolved you can lock it

I am not sure if you did any research on Google, but you should be able to find all guides on how to import new contract addresses on Metamask.
If you are looking for a clear guide than the post above, you can follow the guide provided by ledger you can read this one below

More guide can be found on Metamask here: How to add a custom token

Firstly the tokens need to just reflect on the MetaMask and it is ok since it is linked to your ledger hardware Wallet. To actually add new tokens to your metamask is easy just visit asset then proceed to import to tokens and then click on the custom token icon and paste in the contract adress and then import the token. The token and the balance will show in the assets.
