Once I got a new computer it fixed itself and I came on here and noticed an unsavory post by Lucious and not the first one he's made in one of my posted threads.

You seem to be a very aggressive person based on the hotly debated subjects you've made with others... you need to relax. When I first signed up you literally Posted in my Thread telling people "Don't help this person" and when I Reported it to a moderator you still wouldn't leave me alone... I now remember why you were on my ignore list.

Lucius for the record I'm sorry you feel I'm wasting anyone's time I'm not trying to do that I'm just trying to learn here and if you want to get mad at me for not being able to do that fast enough again I'm sorry.

Your answers are yours not others and forgive me for asking for more than one individual's opinion about something, I'm truly sorry.

In that Thread your literally the only person Posting negative responses towards Me? One Post saying Lucias - "Feel free to report to moderator every post you consider needless or spam in this thread, or just open self-moderated thread. I try to help you with some advice, but if this is not good for you this is your problem. How stupid is from you to claim that Ledger Nano S is has a price of $150, and more then a year ago is under $100, and in some promotion you could buy it for only $50.

You should show a little more gratitude and respect to members who are answering to you questions, and most of them are already answered and it can be found by using forum search or any other search engine."

I didn't think I required making a self-moderated thread the thought didn't even occur to me especially since I just signed up at the time when you were continuously attacking Me relentlessly.

Lucias if you want to call Me an "stupid" AGAIN go right ahead if that somehow makes you feel better.

Take your own advice and realize the way your reply is going to affect how someone replies back to you. That being said this Post or any other Post I've made has never meant to be disrespectful at all in the slightest so please don't go make further anger posts in reply to this, or to anyone else just leave it be if your capable of doing that...

I just got a Nano Ledger S and I don't know if I need to update it or if it will work fine with this Version?

I got the Ledger Nano S Wallet but I have NO IDEA how to Set Up my Hardware Wallet with Electrum...

I suggest you think carefully about what you ask, because how could you get a Nano S today when you say the same thing on December 16 last year? You also ask almost the same question yesterday in another thread and I post an answer to you, please stop to waste other people's time...

I saw a Version Update on my Device from Firmware 14. something to 15. Does anyone have know what firmware Version is required for it to work on Windows 7 does it need the absolute newest version.

To be honest, you should be able to update the firmware without needing to remove the app. It's only recommended as the firmware updates can be quite large and with the limited memory on the device, if you have 5 or 6 coin apps installed, there is not enough room to upload the new firmware.
Ledger recommends removing all the apps manually for older firmware versions. If he was using version 1.5.5 he wouldn't need to uninstall the apps manually, Ledger does it on their end. Uninstall the apps just to be on the safe side, because that is the recommended way to do it. Just make sure you uninstall them in the correct order. If you have other apps depending on Bitcoin, uninstall those first and after that remove the Bitcoin app.

How do I Uninstall the Bitcoin App, I simply justt can't get the manager to open again and show me the list of Alt Coin Apps. I can't remember how I even managed to open it and Install Bitcoin in the first place. Is this the only way to install the newest update.
Open "Ledger Live"... connect your Ledger Nano S... unlock it with the PIN... DO NOT select anything on the Nano S. Then in Ledger Live, click on "Manager"... and when prompted on the Nano S, click to "Allow Manager".

The Manager should start in Ledger Live and should show you the list of coin apps available... find the "Bitcoin" one and click on the Trashcan. That should uninstall the Bitcoin app from your device. You should then be able to update the firmware.

I mean I bought this thing to be as secure as possible and it says there are security updates but I don't understand what they mean exactly in terms of how much if any security improvements they bring. For example I set up an 8 Digit Pin Number before I read you can use as little as 4 and I'm not worried about anyone stealing my Ledger Nano S and from what I am aware the Pin Number is only if someone physically takes your Ledger Nano S to prevent them from gaining access, hopefully noticing it's missing before someone could possible guess the 4-8 Digit Password.

From the link I am reading it says the newest 1.6.0 requires to have all the "Apps?" uninstalled? Does that mean I need to just simply uninstall the Bitcoin App I Installed through the Ledger Live "Manager" Tab on the left?

Yes, uninstall all the apps e.g. 'Bitcoin App' using the Manager before updating. You shouldn't need to do it with the future updates.

I'm sorry if the description of my questions is confusing. I'm assuming 1.3.1 is the Version I'm using?

Apparently, yes.

Okay, thank you, basically nothing has changed much between the Newest Update Release and this one that I'm using. Your Ledger Nano S will work fine, but it is recommended to keep hardware wallets up-to-date. Updates usually include security enhancements or critical fixes. Always make sure that you have the seed in case something goes wrong. There haven't been any critical fixes since 1.3.1. You can see a changelog for each update here.
