Hi ALL . If i transfer my funds from two nano s  to a new nano x , do i have to use the back up keys from nano s's or can i create new seed phrase/ 24 word recovery  for new nano x [ which i would prefer to do . ? -snip-
Will your Nano S still be used in transactions, or will it only be stored and switched to using Nano X?
My suggestion is to make the Nano S a backup by importing the seed to Nano X if it's just for storage.
However, if the Nano S use for transactions and still want to move assets to Nano X, create the new seed on Nano X and transfer assets from the wallet on Nano S to the wallet on Nano X.

If you prefer to use the same Seed, you can just enter your old seed in your new Ledger Nano X. There is no need to create a new seed phrase.

If you recover from your old seed you won't need to make any transaction, so you won't spend fees.

BUt it doesn't make much difference to create a new one or to recover.

Just don't throw the old one away, it's never a good idear to completely delete wallets.

As mocacinno pointed out, there is no need to throw away your old seed if you decide to create a new one. It is good to keep it up to recover possible future forks, for example. Or to sign a transaction if you need.

Just be careful to properly back up your new seed as well before sending your money. Ledger Nano S sometimes resets when updating, so it is very important to have the seed so you can recover your funds

You can only import one backup. And if you like to newly generate new seed phrase for Ledger Nano X, then just newly generate the seed phrase on Ledger Nano X, and send the coins from the two Ledger Nano S into two different addresses that will be generated from the Ledger Nano X (you can send the two fund to one address, but using another address will be better for privacy). Or, better import one see phrase and send the coin one the other Ledger Nano S.

If you move your funds, you can indeed create a new seed phrase... Just don't throw the old one away, it's never a good idear to completely delete wallets.

If you re-use the 24 word seed, you aren't moving your funds, you're recovering your existing wallet on a new device...

By the way, at this moment in time, the fee needed to get a tx confirmed fast is > 100 sat/byte... If you're just moving funds between your own wallet(s), it might be a good idear to wait and see if the feerate drops over the weekend as to not overpay on tx fees Smiley
