They will simply say that it's for the sake of safety update and that's why everyone has to do these firmware updates, in the end, it's just all about the ledger recover update. But even their older version, they've said that they're not going to let it have that feature but then, they're all forcing their versions to have an update and said that the older nano s will have to retire soon and that's why everyone should update their firmware.

Thank you for quick reply. I will buy another HD wallet.

Hello Ledger user!
How many of you update latest Ledger Nano X firmware ver. 2.2.3 ? I have been reading lots of negative comment about 2.2.3 firmware. I heard that new firmware allows to export private key. Is it safe to update now?
It's called Ledger Recover functionality, which they announced in 2.2.3 releases, but since the code is closed source and Ledger lied several times, it is not possible to trust the possibility of such a feature being available in older versions or whether Ledger has access to an encrypted copy of the private key.

Not updating the firmware is not a good thing because at some point in the future you will be forced to do that. so far no loss of any coins has been reported, so thinking about purchasing a new HW may be a suitable option, if your plan to buy Bitcoin only then https://foundationdevices.com/passport/ is a good option and you can make comparisons between HWs using https://thebitcoinhole.com/ or ask here.

Ledger is no longer a safe hardware wallet ever since they implemented a cloud storage for keys and seed phrase. The idea of hard ware wallet was to store your keys offline without a third party involved, and a cloud storage goes totally against that by storing your keys online.

What is safe right now is to move your coins from that ledger to a safely air gapped device with an open source wallet like Electrum. Or get a better hard ware wallet like Trezor.

Don't forget to keep your keys safe
