Farewell, Leo. You will be missed!
I always assumed that the problem was in Ledger and not in Electrum. Partially because of the information provided in the link you posted, but also from comments I have seen on Reddit and the forum. I have never attempted a consolidation through Ledger Live and their relatively new coin control features because it just doesn't feel or look right to me. So I can't comment on any differences between LL and Electrum when we are talking about input consolidations.

Electrum also freezes and unfreezes occasionally throughout the signing process.
I am curious if this is also present in the Nano X and other hardware wallet manufacturers?

Electrum has always had, and I guess still has a problem with a large number of inputs - because when I switched from MultiBit to Electrum and wanted to import my private keys, Electrum just froze every time, and I could not make the transaction. I think the same problem exists with both Ledger models, as both have a problem with a large number of small transactions, which is especially pointed out as a warning to those who use hardware wallets when mining some coins. I can’t say if that’s a problem for all hardware wallets in general, but I guess there shouldn’t be a difference.

This honestly sounds like it could be a "large number of UTXOs" issue. The Nano S is notoriously problematic if you're trying to sign a transaction that includes a large number of inputs. It'll take a long time for the transaction signing to complete and/or time out etc.
I can confirm this. I have done consolidations in the past with my Nano S which included 20 or more inputs, and it does take several minutes before everything is signed and made ready. You just have to leave it to do its work and be patient. Electrum also freezes and unfreezes occasionally throughout the signing process.

I am curious if this is also present in the Nano X and other hardware wallet manufacturers?
OP never came back to reply what he did to make it work and if he figured out what the problem was.

I tried different amount and not one works... Only really low amounts works (0.0005)

It worked at the end after updating 'Ledger Live' so it may not be the case.
He mentioned it in his last reply (the arrangement of his sentences is confusing):

I use the latest version of live with nano s on Win10.
-snip-
I finally successed to send my btc high amount finally. But so much stress...

I would be interested to know if the OP's transaction was like this. Huh

Maybe it is because if you unpin you ledger befause to send. You should not unpin and wait for Live ask it as you try to send btc. But, its maybe problem of amount.
What do you mean unpin the device while you are trying to send? The hardware wallet needs to be connected to your computer when you are sending. It needs to sign the transactions with the private keys that are kept in the secure element on the Nano S.

I finally successed to send my btc high amount finally. But so much stress...
So what did you do to make it work in the end?

I moved on Trezor, lets see.
Since you will be using a Trezor, I highly suggest you extend your 24-words seed with a secure and long passphrase. 6-8 different words is enough for a passphrase according to several experts. You can always include special characters and combination of small and uppercase letters.

I can't send any btc, loading flipping on the ledger live dashboard, and cannot end the process.
If it keeps syncing, there might be a problem with one of the apps and accounts you have installed? How many apps and different coins do you hold on that wallet that are visible in Ledger Live?

if you click on the accounts tab in Ledger Live, which of the coins are unsuccessfully synching with the network? Is it Bitcoin or some of the altcoins? Maybe try to uninstall the one in question and try it again after that. Remove them from the portfolio. That won't result in any loss in coins, so don't worry. I have noticed that Tron is very slow to sync with the network in LL, for example.

Do you keep your operating system updated and is it genuine?

Well, thanks all for your replies.

I use the latest version of live with nano s on Win10. I used it since 2017, already seen this kind of bug. Sometimes.
I've not empty cache.
I use a standard usb cable but not original one (with transfer pins), since years.

I'll try Electrum as well thanks.
I finally successed to send my btc high amount finally. But so much stress... I can understand how traditional banking is --sometimes-- more cumfortable  Cool

I feel like managing cryptos its like experimental stuff, its funny with 200$ but with much more ... Undecided

I moved on Trezor, lets see.

The small amounts may be related to glitches, may be related to dust amounts/inputs, may be related to funds (spent or not) not correctly seen by Ledger Live. You have a better chance to get help here after migrating to Electrum.

In addition to all this, care should be taken to use the latest version of Ledger Live and Bitcoin App on Ledger. However, the OP has confirmed that smaller amounts do not create this problem, so it is possible that Ledger Live for some reason cannot process larger transactions. Electrum is a logical solution, and if after that there is a problem with creating transactions, the problem is somewhere else - I would personally try to clear the cache, install the latest version of Ledger Live and Bitcoin App.

Seeking Ledger's support for things like this is a waste of time, no matter how strange it may sound to someone - they have much bigger problems to deal with.

Tried later and same shit, however their network should works fine.
One of the problems could be the latest firmware and software updates that created bunch of new problems with sending coins, for some people it even caused breaking of device.
You didn't wrote what OS you are using and if you own Nano S device or Nano X (that have much more problems), and you didn't explain better what error information you are getting on device screen.
Other bitcoin software wallets that work with ledger device are Electrum, Wasabi, Sparrow, and they are better than ledger live app in my opinion.

I can confirm that ledger support is very slow, and funny thing is that co-founder btchip is spending all his time answering questions on reddit.
They also spent a lot of time on rebranding making new website and logo design, so maybe that will fix all the problems people have with their devices.

A bit desapointed with this french wallet, it not reliable... Angry
It's really more device from China and Singapore with a French label  Cheesy

I would also recommend Electrum with Ledger. That's how I use my Nano S since I've bought it and it never failed me, while people keep complaining about Ledger Live.
Just make sure you download Electrum from electrum.org and verify it before use.

The small amounts may be related to glitches, may be related to dust amounts/inputs, may be related to funds (spent or not) not correctly seen by Ledger Live. You have a better chance to get help here after migrating to Electrum.

In Electrum I advise you pick BTC as main currency instead of mBTC, set the transaction preferences for showing advanced preview and maybe display also the Addresses and Coins tabs to see what you actually have there.

Try to clear Ledger Live's cache.
That worked for me on occasion.  And I don't know if this applies to your problem at all, but there have been times when I've been unable to send coins because of, of all things, the USB cable being just a little bit worn out.  It was somewhere in this section that I read about that being a potential issue and didn't think my problem could possibly be because of the USB connection....but it was, and it was weird because I could still enter my PIN on the device and everything else.

If all else fails, give that a shot.  And I wouldn't worry too much, because your coins haven't gone anywhere.  Ledger just has some glitches.

Try to clear Ledger Live's cache.
Instructions: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404381846929-Clear-cache-in-Ledger-Live?support=true

Then wait for it to synchronize to its servers, then try to send Bitcoins again.

I would try to install a different software. You don't need Ledger Live. Something may be bugged with ledger live.

Download electrum from this source:
https://electrum.org/#download

Then, follow this guide to use bitcoin with ledger nano:
https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005161925-Set-up-and-use-Electrum?docs=true

The guide is pretty straight forward, from the official ledger website

Inside electrum, follow these steps.

Then you need to be careful about your address format. Does your bitcoin address with balance starts with 1, 3 or bc1?
Check legacy if 1, p2sh if 3 or native segwit if bc1.

This should be in Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Development & Technical Discussion > Wallet software > Hardware wallets section.

Is this your first time to use or do some transaction in your ledger wallet?
Sometimes when I am using my hardware wallet, there is some issue like yours, solution sometimes I am doing is disconnecting it the connecting it again. And sometimes I do some software updates.
