It seems that they remove the legacy format from ledger live according to this https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005195945-Bitcoin-BTC- under bitcoin address formats.

But you can able to generate a legacy wallet on 3rd party wallet.

Can you try to connect your ledger with Electrum, you can download electrum from here https://electrum.org/
Then follow the guide from this link below on how to setup ledger with Electrum

Just make sure to choose a legacy account to generate a wallet that starts with "1".

You will have to create a new Bitcoin subaccount (under the same device and seed) using the Legacy (starting with 1) or nested Segwit address format.

Open your Ledger Live, go to Accounts -> Add account -> Bitcoin -> Select "Bitcoin (segwit)"; Then use the address generated by that account.

well this is an odd one. i would not have thought i would walk into a help forum immediately after buying a ledger x. and apparently they dont answer support tickets.

i am trying to move BTC from gateio to my ledger live service and my wallet. the channel to send is BTC. however there seems to be incompability as ledgerx only offers me sedgwick or native sedgwick to receive bitcoin.

Gateio doesnt support that. as they messaged me

sorry only support P2PKH address starting with 1, and multisig address starting with 3. You may need to contact your ledger service if they can give you a supported address or convert your current address to a supported one.

How do i resolve this? i dont see options to use multisig in ledgerx, just the 2 choices i got above.
