Never! The legalization of guns, when it is accepted by the people, will only give government the ability to control guns through the legalization of them. Then, government will legalize guns virtually out of existence.
Rather than legalize, repeal all illegalization. In other words, get government out of the gun business altogether - neither legal or illegal. Let the people be free.
Actually, we have a law that is way better than gun control. It is the law of claims in court for harm or damage. You can't control guns by law. You can only take peoples' freedoms to protect themselves away. If people use guns or anything else to harm other people, take it to the courts. Let the guilty person pay the maximum penalty for the harm he did.
Get government out of making laws over the people. Let government make strong warnings about what will happen if they harm others through criminal negligence or criminal activity. Then let the people be free until they harm someone.
