Retiring early with a huge stash is what I think they had in mind. If they didn't cash out in 2017 or 2013 or some other previous date.
I feel some times that I missed the bitcoin bus. The year 2013 and 2017 was like the height of the bitcoin cashout. I doubt we are going to have that period ever again. So much progress has been made from then till now in terms of education and awareness and the number od bitcoin adopters have more than doubled. What I can think of right now as a way to retire early with a huge stash to build something that runs on bitcoin - like a payment gateway or just something huge and valuable to the community.

I think the bus of BTC will always not be missed, though, with each year, more and more people flock into the crypto space in general, so there is that.
I hope you will build something that you described one day Grin

what is really surprising about this story is the fact that he was allowed to teach something to the kids especially one that involves an innovation that is not yet well accepted by most. it is definitely a graded effort   Wink i am not sure how this would have been possible especially nowadays where the parents can be reasonably scared for their child it’s not about bitcoin itself but the thought of a random guy teaching your kids when he is not an authority might come off as a threat.
Quote
- If those kids took bitcoin serious or had it till now, they would have become millionaires with cheap dollars.
mate kids do not take anything seriously let alone bitcoin like i said the effort was appreciated but if he taught kids too young they wouldn’t really understand anything

Actually he wanted those kids to have a knowledge about Bitcoin even though they were still very young but however, he only thought them about Bitcoin but I don't think anyone of them invested in Bitcoin at that time because they all literally depended on their parents for money
actually the investment here is not the money but the idea of them knowing bitcoin now and sooner will surely put their money on it.
Quote
and since they were still in school, they may not be exposed about investment yet because all their focus will just be about their studies since they get anything they want from their parents but that not withstanding, now that bitcoin have cleared the doubt of many, it wouldn't be bad if we expose our children about Bitcoin or better still open a Bitcoin wallet for them and either lump sum, or use the DCA to make accumulations for them pending when they have grown enough to take responsibility of their actions and inactions then we hand over the wallet and it's seed phrases to them in their own custody.
there are some student that I come to know back in the years that started investing  in crypto even when they are teens .

It's not simply about parents being scared for their child now, parents practically own the teachers nowadays, and if a student complains about something and calls their parent, the parent usually takes their side against the teacher, which makes it hard for them to actually teach about anything. Let alone maintain any order in the classroom.

Back 2012 when bitcoin was still around $5 dollars, one of us here, which username was/is Tuxavant, Did a legendary work in the history of bitcoin to teach bitcoin in school. He taught BTC Bitcoin in his son's school, before then he already tipped his kid's teacher with a whole bitcoin but back was just a few dollar but now with the current value i think be gave out a huge amount.

My Opinion about this project

- If those kids took bitcoin serious or had it till now, they would have become millionaires with cheap dollars.

Great thread mate, although you can’t blame the kids for not taking Bitcoin seriously why because there are simply minors who don’t control anything other than what they think.
I’m sure some of them would have thought this might be something good but lost track due to childhood while others would have been finding the fun side but blaming kids for not foreseeing Bitcoin as a good investment is just wrong.

Bear in mind that right now outside this forum there are still a lot of well thought multiple degrees having individuals who still consider Bitcoin a scam created to enrich the rich and it’s almost impossible to tell them otherwise or rather for them to have a change of heart about Bitcoin.

- During his teaching I believe there was a lot of criticism, a lot of people would have considered him a scammer then but the future he already knew.

This is one good thing about knowledge and understanding, that is having proper understanding about what you are doing and your destination point. The Bitcoin enthusiasts like knows what the future of Bitcoin will bring about and he didn't mind what kind of criticism that would have followed suit, this shows how people believed in Bitcoin and today he has been proven right about his vision and the spirit that was behind his teaching of Bitcoin to the school children. Never take every information for granted, do research because you won't know the one that will be a life changing opportunity.

Tuxavants took a bold step in making sure bitcoin gets to everyone during the period when there were lots of naysayers, he is indeed a legend that deserves to be celebrated. Where ever he is right now, I believe he will be happy seeing the success Bitcoin has achieved since it was created and the successes of all those he has mentored on this Bitcoin journey. Only if the kids he taught back then in 2012 took what they learnt seriously, they will be millionaires now. I also recommend that schools adopt this same approach and teach kids about this global gift satoshi blessed us with so the kids will not have to learn at a stage when they are supposed to be benefitting already.

When you read the whole project you will find it convincing to award you kids with bitcoins for the future.
Indeed Tuxavants historical path is amiable but personally to me, aside reading through that historical project, my intentions on Investing in bitcoin is to utilize it for immediate goal and then I still have a vision to invest for retirement up to heredity that my future children would grow up and take it over after I would find productive potentials in the bitcoin on why my future generation should also play along with it.
I am still a beginner with a little holding garnering within the market premises until I can testify the goodness in this bitcoin industry.
That too is a tendency that I am gifting my kids with my bitcoin.

Wow, that's some story right there, and I have never known about this from back then.

What's surprising for me in this story is that he was invited by the school management to teach kids about Bitcoin because at that time, in 2012 or back and forth a couple of years, people used to be against Bitcoin and they used to think it is a Ponzi scheme or maybe something that normal people shouldn't use. Even after so many years, people were still not much into Bitcoin, it was later that they realized how big of a mistake they'd made by doing this.

When I first came to know about Bitcoin, the mainstream media was doing their best to show Bitcoin in a negative light so that people wouldn't use it, they used to call it a criminal currency and a bubble that could burst any time, and that bubble is valued more than $60k now.

Of course! His idea has been widely admired.
Yup, the work that he has done before is continuously done by other Bitcoin enthusiasts nowadays and it's not something as new that they're able to do.

But then, there is a root on when and how it all started.

And as for the haters, I doubt they changed their posture either, since for what I can tell most people are not really rational on their train of thought, so even if you could demonstrate something beyond any reasonable doubt, if the conclusion went against their beliefs, they will reject your conclusion no matter what, so I suppose many of those people still hate bitcoin to this day.
Many still no doubt about that.

But I think that the narrative has changed and it will continue to change as well.

My pleasure! happy I could do share something impact here.

For the historical events that happened within the forum , I have been on that, that's how I got this this thread but it seems hard because there are multitude of post here and figuring out the successful events is much of a work. I might do more work on it, but for now let's hang around.

It's really nice seeing these old advertisements that contained WeUseCoins.org and LoveBitcoins.org. They signify whoever made the ad was a very early adopter.
I still see some old people from 2010 and 2012 wearing avatars like that here, but they are not longer active, Sad. They did love bitcoin but time flies.

I agree that he is a legend. He was last active on the forum in 2019. I do wonder where these bitcoin OGs are and what they are currently doing. Those early investors are probably doing fine, after all it would be very rare for a person to be that enthusiastic about something, and then that passion disappeared all of a sudden so they got rid of their coins.

Here's a passionate Bitcoin supporter. Thanks to these kinds of people Bitcoin successfully grew despite the odds. They're the heroes of Bitcoin.

During their time, it was probably hard to promote Bitcoin as it's an alien technology. Children hears and learns about it but could also forget about it shortly thereafter because there's not much way to interact with the technology outside the classroom. Today, I guess many young children could have already heard about it or encountered it somewhere even before somebody could teach them about it. Moreover, there's so many ways to spend your Bitcoin today.

It take legends to spot and identify the opportunity and future advantage of bitcoin and most importantly having bitcoin as a form of asset savings for your kids make them more equipped to face whatever financial inflation that my hit the global finances that could affects the values of future assets values.

It's good to give those close to us some form of education about the importance of bitcoin and how best to hodle along the line and also holding bitcoin for future sake.

I doubt there would be any major or ground-breaking innovations in the coming years except some here abd there with AI now that openAI and other firms are pushing the limits. So I think opportunities has been covered for now. And yes, I second the idea about passing our knowledge to people that don't know because information is power. Even though that man in the story OP gave, paperhanded his bitcoins, and his impacts on those kids or people around made them buy tons of bitcoin, he might even get rewarded. The same goes for family members.

I genuinely feel that information and knowledge itself is made available for the sole purposes of sharing with others close to us.

They're probably somewhere out there doing fine with their life and they've probably outgrown the need to be active in this forum because they don't have the time anymore to be active here, regardless of what's happened though, it's a mystery to us that we shouldn't be obsessed about. When there's no update on what happened to these kids, I guess we can't really know for sure what's really happened after that discussion made by that legendary dude. Regarding what those students are up to, I'm hoping that most of them are pursuing a career or passion that's technologically inclined, other than that, it's the same with Tuxavant, it's going to be a mystery until an update happens.

Considering the time at which the user did conduct this seminar or teaching classes for first graders, I would say the user did such a good job especially with the level of information that was passed approaches used and haven’t got so much influence to have been invited over by the school to teach this new technology at the time. One piece of information I did enjoy from the shared link though was this:
Quote
Bitcoin is a new kind of money. It's not just digital money, but a completely newway to think about money: how it is issued, how it
is stored, and how it is transfered between people.
It was simple but, one way to redirect thoughts of the young once towards a more open and accepting of the new era that was to come.

While I might not take the users having to teach for a major achievement, the real achievement would be in the students the user was able to win over and what they’ve been able to accumulate over the years after that lecture. The user didn’t just teach them, also pointed means to mine and sites to visit to get Bitcents and Bitcoins.

That’s a term I don’t knew to exists though, Bitcent! I suppose that’s where the Satoshi of today comes in to replace that.

Wow, so the idea of teaching Bitcoin in school never started today? @Tuxavant is a real legend to have come up with the idea to teach students about Bitcoin when the price was even very low, and if any of those people had taken the idea so vital and even invested in Bitcoin years later, when the price of Bitcoin was still around $500-$1000, the student would have made a fortune by now. Sometimes I wish that I had someone who clearly gave me a good education about Bitcoin in 2009 or even around 2012, but rather I got to know about Bitcoin so well in 2019 when the price has already gone far. It is a profile to educate young people of this generation about Bitcoin so that they will have no regrets in the future.
No but there are plenty of schools now who taught BTC to the students but this one we have here, is said to be the first to do it, so I salute that guy. He is like Laszlo and others who help BTC to become more known to the world. They are like our heroes here in the BTC world. Maybe there are a few who have invested but I doubt if many have reached this far.

I mean if they still have the BTC's up to the preset dates. That is the hardest part there, especially for something that is still unknown to the many. Back in time, we already have the internet and maybe many of us are hooked on it because PC games are already a thing before, therefore you don't need someone to come for you and teach you about BTC but you can just do it your self if you are really willing.

Hello community!

I have always been amazed with everything about bitcoin and I put in some time to know more about it's history. From every event that took place in bitcoin it shows it's a legendary invention.

~Snip~

Here is the written article which he used for his successful presentation, although some parts are blurred out.

~snip~

To cut the story short, He was invited to teach the kids in about bitcoin and guess what? it was a big success. You can read the whole project here SUCCESS! The First Grade School Bitcoin Project! .

When you read the whole project you will find it convincing to award you kids with bitcoins for the future. BTW, @Tuxavant is one of the bitcoin legends.

I'm amazed at how you got to know the legendary @Tuxavant started a class about bitcoin for kids I mean looking from your rank but if you went through some research to find this out that means you are a Bitcoin lover and one who wish to know more about Bitcoin. I assume his teachings helped some children who must have grown now to have knowledge and good understanding about bitcoin.

Quote
My Opinion about this project
- During his teaching I believe there was a lot of criticism, a lot of people would have considered him a scammer then but the future he already knew.
In 2012, Bitcoin hasn't gotten the awareness it had now because most people were seeing it as some kind of scam projects and we can't completely blame people who think Bitcoin was a scam project as at that time because whenever something new is being launched, it takes time even years before people will become confident about it so that was exactly what was happening those times, but thanks to how far Bitcoin have gone today as only those that doesn't want monetary freedom, or those that don't like it's decentralized nature since they can't benefit from transactions are the only ones that will criticize Bitcoin or go on the news that it will crash but bitcoin has gone above criticism because a lot of investors are coming in to invest.
Even though @Tuxavant was teaching those children with great confidence but I don't think he completely knew that Bitcoin will get this far.

Quote
- If those kids took bitcoin serious or had it till now, they would have become millionaires with cheap dollars.

You can't blame those kids because they were under their parents and it will be difficult for them to convince their parents that they want to invest in a genuine project then since Bitcoin didn't get much popularity and recognition then and people believes in something that has gained public attention before they can trust the system so those children can't not be blamed but had it been their parents saw a good future in the project I believe they would have supported those children as at that time.

As much as I wanted to be optimistic about the result of the class done by our fellow forum member, I do not think these kids will take the lesson into heart.  The audience are just 4th grader so I believe kids at this grade are around 9 or 10 years old so I believe these kids are more focused on playing and or doing their school activities.

4th grade. Depending on how I develop this "intro", I suspect that this particular school will be encouraging me to to this for other higher grades. It is like a charter technology/science themed school and are hungry to be "on the cutting edge". They are asking me to help out with their lego mindstorms club, and get them going with stuff like Scratch from MIT, etc.

If the lesson is done on universities I believe it will turn out well since students at this level are hungry for possible earning opportunities so they will more likely take the lesson seriously and possibly dig dipper into learning about Bitcoin.

But whatever the result of the effort of Tuxavant is, it is always great to know that there are selfless people who love sharing opportunities even if it costs them spending their own money.

My Opinion about this project
- During his teaching I believe there was a lot of criticism, a lot of people would have considered him a scammer then but the future he already knew.
depends on wether he requested for any financial incentives from them after rendering such lecture. This reminds me of someone who came to teach us about money in high school! Dude was that ideal speaker that spoke and while he was speaking it was as though a Vail was being removed from our eyes and that we were being mislead and thought nonsense in school. Everything was going just fine throughout the class up until it got to the point when he requested that we pay a certain amount of money if we are interested in the masterclass where he will reveal the deep things he hasn't told us yet. Everything he said from that point changed entirely and it almost appeared as though he is trying to extort money from us and even though what he was saying is true, it didn't make anh sense again.

Sometimes it's necessary that when you're educating people on a subject matter as this, most expecially the younger once, it's best you just feed them with the information and let it end that way. I bet that's possibly what he did cause it wouldn't even make any sense if he requested anything from them except if he adviced them to start investing into Bitcoin at that tender age or to convince the parents to use there free money to invest into Bitcoin for them.

- If those kids took bitcoin serious or had it till now, they would have become millionaires with cheap dollars.
you know, it's at this point that we've seen how far Bitcoin has come in terms of it price that we can ascertain that anyone that had the knowledge of Bitcoin prior to now and refuse investing into it made a very bad decision but at the time, we can't tell if they made the right decision or not cause it wasn't all that popular compaired to now.

Again, we aren't different from those kind of they didn't invest at the time and there are lots of people who still feel that Bitcoin is a scam and are currently waiting for a moment it will crash. It's partly a function of being ignorant of how the system works and not ready to take some form of calculated risk to invest into Bitcoin.if they had invested at the time, we aren't sure if they would have HODL it till this time or if they would have agreed to buy much of Bitcoin that would have made them millionaires at this time.

You might be surprised that many people still consider Bitcoin a scam currently. There are still people who believe that the coin is a Ponzi scheme that will soon crash. Tuxavant did good work about twelve years ago and we are celebrating him today. I am sure that a few years from now some Bitcoiners will also be remembered for their current contributions.

I agree that he is a legend. He was last active on the forum in 2019. I do wonder where these bitcoin OGs are and what they are currently doing. It will be hard to track the lives of most of the Bitcoin OGs due to the decentralized nature of Bitcoin. I guess that some of them might be rich because they kept their coins to date while others might not be because they sold early or lost interest in Bitcoin. We cannot also trace the history of people who mocked them. But I am sure many of them would regret their action because Bitcoin is now bigger than they ever thought. We cannot also determine how the effect of the Bitcoin lesson on those children except if there are testimonies from any of them who attended the class.

In the early days, the forum was much more technical and there were no signature campaigns, it was very different from now. I imagine that the OGs are loaded and have lost interest in the forum because it's so changed. About the Bitcoin haters, I don't know, maybe some changed their mind and bought Bitcoin in time but in other forums you see them predicting that Bitcoin is going to go to 0 because it is a ponzi scheme, people who have had an account for a decade or more. They don't learn.

Kids, it's hard to tell a class from 13 years ago the influence it might have had. I would imagine not much.

To cut the story short, He was invited to teach the kids in about bitcoin and guess what? it was a big success. You can read the whole project here SUCCESS! The First Grade School Bitcoin Project! .
You found something but I read three pages of that thread and can not see anyone confirmed that it is a first class about Bitcoin.

Of course I never mentioned it was the first but from the obvious we can say it's the first success bitcoin presentation in Grade school.

What we are talking about here is 2012, 4yrs after invention which eople might still be in doubt of it then someone came up with the idea of teaching it in Grade school which I haven't heard anyone teach bitcoin in class except for the later years.

? Damnnnn! ignorance was kicking alot of us hard.
I guess I changed my mind from now. This is really mind blowing.
Hell yeah!
we can start sharing this knowledges with kids, working them out for the future, we never know how well things will turn out in future.

We all only have another chance to make things better rather than regret our ignorances.

As for the kids, I still have the same thoughts. How did they turn out?  Did they allow the teachings on Bitcoin to influence them? What have they been up to with regards to Bitcoin?

I guess nobody knows..

My Opinion about this project
- During his teaching I believe there was a lot of criticism, a lot of people would have considered him a scammer then but the future he already knew.

Why should they, is he incentivizing from them or demanding for making payment for such service rendered, sometimes we just have to take decision on our won forgetting about what others may say, because they wont do and will always discourage those interested on doing.

Did you read the entire thread? you can literally see people who are even against his idea of educating the kids on bitcoin. You can see that if such people exist in bitcoin community already then people who don't know it wouldn't hesitate to call it a scam.

Imagine someone give you a coin that is worth $0.0005 now what will be your reaction? Maybe a scam right? Shitty project right? back then that was how it looked.

But finally bitcoin is far beyond what they saw.

Some forum old members can confirm it or who are curious about your information will dig more and find more to confirm this information. It's interesting information but is it correct or not, I am unsure.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
I have never heard of this story before! wow  Shocked This is really a legendary act for sure.

During this times around 2012, I was in my Grade school too, I guess opportunity wasn't on my side then and geographical location was a barrier.

Wait was I in support of letting kids be kids instead of bothering them with bitcoin knowledge? Damnnnn! ignorance was kicking alot of us hard.

I agree that he is a legend. He was last active on the forum in 2019. I do wonder where these bitcoin OGs are and what they are currently doing. I also wonder about where the people who laughed at them when they spoke fanatically about Bitcoin, where they are currently doing. I wonder if they eventually invested in Bitcoin or are still stuck with their beliefs against Bitcoin.

- If those kids took bitcoin serious or had it till now, they would have become millionaires with cheap dollars.

That's true, but as of then, still consider the way things were by that time, bitcoin value, the interest of the participants and their affordability on making investment, though we can still make such an opportunity by this time if we can invest and hold for long.

Hello community!

I have always been amazed with everything about bitcoin and I put in some time to know more about it's history. From every event that took place in bitcoin it shows it's a legendary invention.

Back 2012 when bitcoin was still around $5 dollars, one of us here, which username was/is Tuxavant, Did a legendary work in the history of bitcoin to teach bitcoin in school. He taught BTC Bitcoin in his son's school, before then he already tipped his kid's teacher with a whole bitcoin but back was just a few dollar but now with the current value i think be gave out a huge amount. https://talkimg.com/images/2024/06/19/hAZWm.png

Here is the written article which he used for his successful presentation, although some parts are blurred out.

When you read the whole project you will find it convincing to award you kids with bitcoins for the future. BTW, @Tuxavant is one of the bitcoin legends.
