Very interesting thread.
How do lendings work?
Are the lendings guaranteed?
What's the risk?
Are they really profitable?

Thank you very much

The more i learn about strange crypto world the more its tempting to try different things.
Investing in online casions sounds like profitable thing to do.
Whats up with CLAM lending on poloniex, thats crazy.
Airdrops are actually not bad.
Still nothing beats mining if you have access to cheap electricity.
I mean if bitcoin does not jupm 1500% again or something.
The part of me that wants money says - do crazy stuff , and the reasonable investor in me says - crazy stuff is for people who loose money to reasonable investors.
Still , very interesting times.

Hi
Im lending on bitfinex. Good stuff.
I've looked into Lending on Poloniex. I was wondering if there are better rates to gain there.
But surprisingly it shows no demands for lending for anything except for bitcoin. And LTC offerings are way lower than on bitfinex.
I went to bitmex and i could not find lending dashboard at all.
Whats the deal? I think its awesome idea to lend coins, why its so strangely organized?
Thanks
just make an offer on polo Wink
I don't think you will easily lend all of listed coins, but top 10 by volume you could lend for sure.
It will be simpler if you make a loan to poloniex because there will be many traders who are ready to lend to you. but I do not really understand the interest you're going to pay. because I myself have never done trading by borrowing funds. if you do not want to be complicated you can borrow in bitfinex with custom interest as you wish..

I have good experience with lending on poloniex, I am lending some of coins and I think the rate is always changing but its fine for me. usually I lending the coin if I don't want to sell and while I am waiting, I can make another profit from lending. so far, I think the rate in poloniex is good than the other sites and this is my reason to still lending my coins in poloniex. with lending, we can have additional income and we can used our coins to make profit too.

The way Poloniex works is that practically no-one puts in demands. Instead the lenders put in offers, and they get taken instantly.

You only see the demand side filled when the rates get really high and a borrower is trying to get their loan filled at a lower rate.

What I am realising about Poloniex is that you can often put in loan offers (for alts anyway) at even double or triple the available rates people are offering, especially if the volume is low. Within 48 hours, your loan will be taken. I cannot say why the reason is for this, but I think what you say is correct. You start the ball rolling, others beat your interest rates and then suddenly there is demand.

The lending function in poloniex works in the way when traders open a margin trade, the loan will be taken automatically. Since the traders usually set the loan rate higher, the loan get filled immediately. This is why you don't see any demand.

From my experience, the loan get filled quite fast. You can try it.

there will be platform you can use to land, but only for token which use ethereum ERC20, the project named etherlend. try to search more info about it in Ann altcoin board. its peer to peer alt coin lending. to use it you need to install metamask in your chrome and put the token to your metamask wallet.
