Then why did he say "I made my living reporting those scammers"? It means that he earns his income by reporting scammers. If he meant like "my life only consists outof reporting scammers", it would indeed mean what you're trying to say.

Poor choice of words I guess.  I meant I made my REPUTATION reporting those scammers.

The lending section is infested with people who try to scam money
And infested with signature campaign spammers who repeatedly post the same shit,"no collateral no loan" or something along those lines.

Is it not possible that newbies who are making a loan request will get some short op popup or need to read and understand this rule and then click some checkbox before the post will be submitted maybe this will help to clean this section or at least reduce the loan spam?
It has been previously suggested to restrict newbies from opening threads in the lending section. Apparently there are a few exceptions who have genuine loan requests.

Yeah, I kind of agree with your suggestion, as I see these no-collateral loans flying around all the time and that is getting quite annoying.

Hey, I made my living reporting those scammers.   Grin
How are you making money from that? People tip you? That pays well?
LOL, he's ain't earning anything from reporting those scammers on the lending board but rather he help the community to let everyone know that the loan request is a scam.
By the way, Possible Scam aren't moderated which has been posted in the Rules on bitcointalk.
Another thing, I think the possibility of these feature your asking to be approved will be very low.

By the way, we know that scams aren't moderated, but that is because it is too much work to investigate each scam case... But this is just a 1-time effort to add which would permanently benefit Bitcointalk.

The lending section is infested with people who try to scam money or are just too lazy to read the forum rules or use the forum search function about the no collateral no loan rules.
Is it not possible that newbies who are making a loan request will get some short op popup or need to read and understand this rule and then click some checkbox before the post will be submitted maybe this will help to clean this section or at least reduce the loan spam?

Sorry if this got suggested or asked in the past but it would be a very nice idea to implement a such feature
It's a nice idea and I think that it should be easy(?) to implement for the forum devs.
The message may come at the top of textArea similarly like we have for Posting on older threads or the message that tells that someone posted a reply while the user was typing.

BTW, there is a sticky thread already on the board, but newbies, especially with the intention to scam, don't even read it and end up getting red tagged.

Btw, a lot of people (like me) never read checkboxes, so a pop-up is probably better..
