Very interesting analysis
so in the developed countries adoption have been 0.5% a year ago.
And thats just the bitcoin-qt downloads. When we add the web wallets and the others I think it's safe to tripple that. So, we've got 1.5% one year ago, won't be surprise if it doubled since than to 3%.
That's percent just for the developed countries though. Worldwide would be much less.
Still higher than I thought Smiley

Betting with bitcoins is the best use of cryptos I have ever done Cheesy

Couldn't agree more. IMHO, the nature of the coin is just perfect Cheesy

On the "less than 7% gamblers have gambled bitcoin," I think this is still very acceptable. CMIIW, but world's bitcoin penetration even still below 1% (http://thegenesisblock.com/mapping-bitcoin-adoption-a-global-perspective/).

Well, I have a real job, along with the usual bank and cards. I don't speculate on money markets. Nor do I want to pay an assassin to off someone through the TOR network's version of Craigslist. I'm not currently importing opium, sex slaves or uranium. I don't plan on building a hideout in a inactive volcano.

Why would I bother with bitcoin at all now the easy time to mine them has long passed?

Said one of them.
I thought it will be interesting for the people here to see some quite alternative (to us) points of view.
