I am not going to lie, I used to panic when btc went down, and I am embarrassed about it.

Since so many of you are so sure that BTC is going to be worth nothing then lets see some proof.

Go to a dice site, take all your btc, and gamble it away.  You don't have to do a 50/50, you can have some fun with your btc, but go on do it.

The outcomes that can happen:
- you break even and cash out your btc immediately
- you make profit and cash out immediately
- you lose something that is going to be worth $0.00 one day, so you technically did not lose anything.

Well you wil indeed lose something if you do that.. because bitcoin has value right now.. and you will lose 500 usd worth for every one.. the trolls who said that dont even have bitcoin.. and their subconscious make them to say that bullshit because at the end they dont wanna feel guilty if it raises for not having bought bitcoin

Dude, people that are saying that "BTC will be worthless" are just trolls.  Nobody here is a wuzard, we don't know.

We can speculate on the short-medium term and make predictions based on assumptions, that is all.

I have already ROI'd off bitcoin and paid off a lot of debt, etc. I have contemplated multiple times about getting out of bitcoin altogether because my heart just cant stand the swings, lol.. but like ive said in other posts, even if bitcoin hit zero today, bitcoin has made the life of me and my family much better. So, I think ill just wait this out and see where it takes us.... If Im wrong,  eh, I still did okay..

Simpler solution: just sell and go make something more profitable or at least more fun.

Be here and keep saying Bitcoin is doomed and will go to 0 is kind of self-contraditory

I have things on the side for fun, but I spend time here out of an altruistic sense of duty: people can still cash out now without taking too major of a haircut (unless they bought at the November peak). If I can help just one person avoid financial ruin, it's worth it.

Dur... wouldn't it go to reason that a person -- who believes bitcoin is continuing on a long term bear market course -- would have already cashed out their BTC holdings?

You honestly believe that this forum is full of bears trying to sink the market and buy in again.  It is full of regular people that see no other way to vent their frustration other than by saying that btc will be worthless, I know, I've said the same crap.

If you have enough money to manipulate btc, you're not on this forum going btc is going to be worth nothing, if you are I honestly do not know what to say.

I don't think that at all... and the way I see it, bulls still outnumber the bears on this forum even in these dark times, which leads me to believe that the worst is yet to come.

I think the bears, myself included, already sold and are just here for the show now. If something happens that changes my mind about bitcoin's future potential, I'll gladly change course and buy in again, but I have no interest in manipulating the market downwards.. I'm just calling things out as I see them.

Ok that clears it up.  So people who have sold everything, are making the threads.  I guess you guys need that reassurance then that selling this week, when you could have sold last week, that you didn't fuck up  Lips sealed.  It is ok, I have sold/spent coins before I should have.

Why are people cashing out now instead of last week.  Every time btc is stagnant it seems to drop, and it has been stagnant for a while.  I guess I missed the new China ban or something.

I don't think that bitcoin is "going to be worth $0.00 one day", if one btc will ever be valued 0$, this won't be our problem
but a problem of our children.
If you lose your stake with gambling, you lose the possibility to have a great investment return in few years.

tell that to all of those that bought at $680 and above.... all the way up past $1000 and beyond. yes, long term prospects always look good, though. but it's gotta be rough holding through these kind of painful down trends.

No doubt about that.   Which, I suppose, is why the mantra of "Don't invest more than you can afford to lose" routinely makes the rounds.

Makes it very easy, honestly.  Also once you get past your first bubble it's even easier.

Cant. Already cashed all out months ago.
Granted, still have fiat at an exchange in case something happens that might get me to reinvest.

Also remember there is some thread on here telling us how btc gravitates towards $666, so we will be ok.

For those of you that are not willing to do this, it is August.  The vast majority of people with disposable income are spending it on travel, weddings, parties, boating, excessive drinking (if your like me your body requires alcohol to cool down when the weather is above 80 degrees  Smiley), you get where I am going with this.

Also remember there is some thread on here telling us how btc gravitates towards $666, so we will be ok.
