The original intention of Developers or promoters of Segwit is reasonable putting into consideration some of the chalenges
encountered in the Bitcoin Network such as high mining fees, high transaction fees, slow network etc. some of the added features of.
    segwit are

    1. Useof emcryption algorithm.
    2. Replay protection.
    3. Block size increase of up to 4MB.
    4. High block generation rate 2.5m.
    5. Unique address format.
    6. Recalculation of complexity after each block.

These added features of segwit is a better of upgrade of Bitcoin and i think segwit is really the way to go.

The reason I say Litecoin might take over is because of the speed of the confirmation times (but of course it would have to build up the same client base).  I'd prefer to just have Bitcoin and have it be upgraded periodically without having to buy new currency every time an upgrade happens. It's better for the longterm stability of crypto-currency in general at this early stage.

I can't imagine anyone voting to keep bitcoin stuck transacting at the current fees and length of transaction given the potential damage it might cause to its leading market position. Upgrade Bitcoin ! Don't make me buy cash...because I'll probably just buy Ether.

Dear Bitcoin,

Please Segwit the hell out of Bitcoin. I want my Bitcoin to be able to handle 8MB ! I don't want to have to change to a new currency because all of the current infrastructure is built for Bitcoin. Bitcoin vendors, Bitcoin accepted here, Bitcoin ATM's etc. There's no reason why the cache should be so little given the traffic, the confirmation times, the mining fees etc. This is needed in order to keep Bitcoin functioning correctly as the leader in the block-chain currency for transaction. Otherwise Litecoin will probably take over. Reassuring people that upgrades will be made to the currency they're holding is valuable in crypto-currency because they might be scared of buying any because they're worried in a few months it will be a new currency they should be buying (instead of feeling safe and saving the money in their e-wallets). Honestly the longer there's a delay in upgrading Bitcoin makes it seem like Mickey Mouse and unflexible and unable to handle the traffic.

Thanks,
Mark
