OK guys... Joe Lieberman has made a statement (on 24th May) saying that he is out of contention for the post of FBI director. So perhaps now it is time to end the discussion on this topic.
This topic is probably not so much on the appointment of Lieberman as Trump approaches to the appointments in his team. I am sure that this topic will continue in the future because Trump is constantly lying and is unable to fulfill their promises. So to be continued.

The simple way to make America great again works like this.
The legal places in the Constitution that the Federal Government can get its money are from import/export taxes, taxes on Government owned corporations, and taxes on interstate transportation.
Get rid of the income tax and all taxation on Mom and Pop businesses. Don't start any new taxes other than those listed above.
We have enough material wealth in this country to build ourselves great. If Government could only tax the above, they would slow down import/export to a balance where they could get the most benefit. The people would manufacture everything privately within their State so that there would be hardly any taxes on anything.
Jobs would come back. Government would reduce in size. We would not be a world threat any longer. Peace would abound, because the world would easily realize that we have "a rifle under every blade of grass," and we are ready to use it for our protection.
The biggest thing that is weakening the country is the income tax. And the sales tax is a close second.

What you guys don't understand is simple; these old timers always give credits to other old timers when it comes to working with one another.
These old timers don't look down to the younger ones for new ideas and assistance to help build a better solution rather looking them as amateurs.

Beginners of course have nothing to do with responsible positions in politics, and that old people have nothing to do there. There must be people of middle age. They already have experience and have not lost the desire for innovation. Trump was a mistake of the Americans and the sooner they fix this error the less harm it will bring to their country.
Yes! I agree with you because this has always perplexed me about our political system. We make great efforts for equal representation across classes (Repub/Dem, men/women, ethnic majorities/minorities). But for some reason, we completely ignore age, the older you are, the better you are for politics. Given the average age of politicians, how do their opinions represent the younger voters that are their constituents? They pay taxes, they deserve representation as well.
This has puzzled me with the criminal justice system as well. If we are supposed to get 'a jury of peers', do kids tried as adults, or very young adults, deserve to have a jury of young people try them?

Age doesn't sum up the ability of a person to do a work. Doesn't mean that if you are old you're better than the one who is younger than you. There are things to be consider as well so I think it means literally old guys with experience/potential in the position needed. Let's see how it goes.

FBI director candidate Lieberman ( 75 year old ) is just one of newest example of Donald Trump new policy - take old guys, preferably at least 70 years or more old, put them in top managing position and go ahead. Donald as 70 years old senior citizen and president will make America great again with old guys team in White House.
You cant just give such an important position to a newbie or someone who lacks the necessary experience for the position, the main importance of giving someone a job is about choosing someone who can do the job very well not someone who is younger, age is irrelevant when performance is what is needed.

Such an old man like Trump can't change because at that age people don't like to change beliefs. He grew up and lived with the conventional approaches. It is for this reason that it is gaining to his team the same old people like himself.

Their age is not issue here
In my opinion, only qualified people should lead country, doesn't matter their age.
After all, president Reagan also was very old but he was very good president.
Lieberman have a lot qualities.
He is acceptable to both parties, not corrupt and highly experienced.
It will be great if both parties can agree about him and move on to other important issues connected with security.
It's very important to find and approve new FBI director in Congress as soon as possible.
Time is very sensitive now.

I think he wants to stick with traditional style and also old guys are reliable in ways youngsters can never define. Preferable old guys on command are not easy to dispute are to be argued with. So i guess he hired to have more strict policies.

Trumps decision is a 50/50 decision. It could make America great again or it could make worse. Hiring the elderly has also its advantage since they have more experience, skills and knowledge on handling matters of the state. In short the elderly are wise. But there are also negative things in hiring older people and that is their health. Their health conditions will affect their efficiency and effectivity in handling matters of the state.
