It is good to see some interesting update here. I was also not aware of the first exchange and the firs ICO. This will help people like me who are into article writing and also add to my general knowledge about cryptocurrency.

But Namecoin was the 1st Alt..Interesting! I recently did a search of eBay logs, looking for the first storage items to show up ..a ton of feathercoin stuff. Do you know if this coin was really popular back in 2013 and if so why?
I can recall the name but I can't remember it standing out in any way, I don't even remember from which coin it was forked, just another shitcoin.

It's just unfortunate that namecoin did not grow like Bitcoin, this proved that even with the current status of bitcoin now, there's a chance that it will be replace by other coin in the future.

Thanks for sharing such information, you got me educated about the first exchange and the first altcoins as I didn't know that though I've been here for like over 3 years already. Moreover, I agree with tranthidung to move it in the right board.
