How many of these threads do we need? There's already dozens asking the same or just complaining about merit. And I'm not sure what the poll is going to achieve as a poll is useless here.

I'm afraid it is not going to stop any soon, for many new users are joining the forum each day with the only goal of earning some cents. Maybe this is the time for creating a "Merit" board in which they can satiate their infinitely necessity of complaining about merit.

you got it it will be eternaly opposed.

I am a jr. Member. After introducing the merit system it really became very hard to get merit. My friend started in this forum when there was no merit system. He is now a hero member ( I am not expressing the name). To me if I compare then my knowledge is far more better than him.

I am not saying that merit system is a bad one. Due to merit system low quality post had already reduced. So ultimately day day the post quality is getting high which attract crypto world for bounties and signature campaign.

I saw many jr. Member, Member and special newbie are getting disappointed due to merit system. Moderator and high rank members are  giving away merit depending on post quality no doubt about that. But I think this give away of merit is not just upto the mark, many of new members will also agree with me. I'm not saying that it's worse but if this number of merit give away is increased by a little amount then it will be good for us.

It's all just my opinion. If I do any mistake or say anything wrong then please see it in kind eyes.
Thank you.

Not sure about your friend, but your post history doesn't speak in your favor if it is about knowledge. There is a very big difference between Knowledge and General Understanding. What you know is just a general understanding about things, but isn't knowledge by far.

day day the post quality is getting high which attract crypto world for bounties and signature campaign.

That probably requires explanation. How is the post quality attracting crypto world for bounties or signature campaigns? Or were you trying to say something else but you did not find the correct wording for that?

The ones that are getting disappointed are probably the ones who spent all their forum time in hunting bounties or so and never cared to gain any knowledge provided to them by anyone, anywhere in the forum. Such people would obviously not be able to get through successfully and will start complaining at the end.
And, if the moderators or anyone holding the ability to Merit posts are doing it correctly then I don't see it not being up to the mark at all. The only thing that makes it only a little unfair is that many of the quality posts are missed and not Merited at all. But that is not such a big problem considering the population of the forum being too high and posts get missed when others reply after them.

Look, getting merit is not easy, especially in the beginning. I see you already have 3, so you can do it.. merit is easier to get as time passes, because people are going to merit your old posts.

When I reached 101 merits I created a celebration post and post my thoughts about the merit system and how to get more merit

Take a look here, it might help you out.

You already seeing the good impact of the merit system.

But I think this give away of merit is not just upto the mark, many of new members will also agree with me.
Yes you are totally right but for bigger benefit we need to accept some minor errors. It's not big deal IMO

If I were you then I would not think about my friend instead I would focus on my personal development to adopt with the system. Hope it helps.

Thanks a lot

Sorry to bother you. I just wanted to know the current thoughts about merit for which I posted a poll. That's all.

Why didn't you just read the hundreds of threads that everyone has already expressed an opinion in? That would tell you the current thoughts.

How many of these threads do we need? There's already dozens asking the same or just complaining about merit. And I'm not sure what the poll is going to achieve as a poll is useless here. The thousands of people who signed up with multiple alt accounts just to earn here by making poor posts are obviously going to vote one way and the older members who are already ranked up are just going to see it as a good thing because it stops the users who I've just mentioned and vote the opposite. Yes, we get it, people who just wan't to come here to earn straight away aren't going to like the system. Yes, it is relatively hard for people putting little to no effort into their posts to get it. And so it should be. The only other option aside from paying for a signature (which you would probably cry all the same about) is to remove signatures completely and if that happened you and everyone else who are complaining about merit would disappear like a fart in the wind because this place would instantly be of no use to you. And that's why merit is a good thing. People now have to actually earn their position in rank here.

Sorry to bother you. I just wanted to know the current thoughts about merit for which I posted a poll. I am looking forward to write an article upon this forum. That's all.

Then I think it is easy for you to get merits naturally and there is no problem for you to rank up.  In practice you need to wait for a while to satisfy Activity requirement, during which you can contribute to the forum and help people here.  When you stop moaning and even thinking about merit, you will notice you are a Member rank Wink

In my opinion, it is not known how the merit system will affect the signature campaigns. In the end, for developers, the main thing is the reach of the audience, and the quality of posts over their signature is not so important to them. The forum administration creates a closed club for high-ranking members, it is almost impossible to get into it. Judge for yourself, is it really possible to score 500 merits, even if you are not new to crypto? It is enough to look at the statistics and it becomes clear that the merits have become a forum token, and not a way of assessing the quality of posts.

A month ago, i used to think like you guy do now. And i don't even know what merit is because i concentrated most of my free time on bounty and speculation board. And I also thought that my knowledge of btc trading is the best and didn't take other good posts into my serious consideration. However, i then realized that whenever i join a game or this forum, i must follow the rules which are announced by the admin. I also understand that it's an open forum and you have to follow. If you feel uncomfortable or useless, you have right to leave without hesitation. Don't blame for the rules, please, once you join, you have to follow and accept it.

I'm not blaming it. I just want to say that if the number of  merit give away was more then it will be help for all the new members. Brother you and I are same. You support merit and me also. But the main conflict between us is the number or amount of merit. I wish that this merit give away number would be more.

The problem is see with this and similar posts is the following: you don’t get that merit is a bonus.

The best thing you can do is to use the forum as if merit didn’t exist and as if you couldn’t get any money from this forum. Use it to learn and to share your knowledge. That way you will get merit in the long term.

PS: I see your English is not bad but you still have to improve.
