Learn about Bitcoin and the Blockchain in a 1 hour, easy to understand presentation.  The talk is meant for beginners that want to understand about the technology, how it works, how it is used and the implications it can have on world commerce. 

We will also go over how you can get started with Bitcoin and even give some BTC away during the presentation!

Growing bitcoin commerce is a monumental task.  It has to start small, in the neighborhoods and with a local community.  Can it be done one beer at a time?  Blocktrail thinks so and it is why we created our new Meetup group: “Lets Use Bitcoin.”  http://www.meetup.com/LetsUseBitcoin/

The goal of the group is simple: to spend more bitcoin.  We plan to get together once a month at different locations where bitcoin is accepted around the Netherlands.  The idea is that anyone who is interested in bitcoin can come to have a good time, have a drink and also chat about the latest news, tech and ideas.  It is meant to be a fun time while also promoting the use of bitcoin and bitcoin merchants!

Another main focus of the group is to invite newcomers to join.  Part of why the learning curve is so high is that people have never made a transaction or even know how to make one.  We want to invite new bitcoin users to see how easy it can be to use bitcoin in the real world!

Blocktrail is based in Amsterdam and want to start this group here in our own backyard.  We do have hopes of expanding it to other cities as well.  We would love for the community to rally around this idea.  Think of what could be possible if every major city had a group like this!  We could really make a difference in the transactions volumes and usage!  Especially if we keep inviting newcomers to join.  If you want to connect a “Lets Use Bitcoin” meetup in your city please let me know!
