I program websites and simulators and generators and It is very easy for an experienced programmer(I've never done it)to build a chess bot that looks at all possible moves for the next 100..200...1000...2000 moves.
These might not be common however this is the way to win(sometimes):
Depending on if you go first in a game of chess you should be able to use a regular store purchased computer chess game and run it the same time as your on-line tournament and input your opponent's moves as your own and mimic the computers moves against you as your own on the on-line tournament game. (ever think of that?) Will someone double check that for me but I think my logic is good... just set your chess game to the hardest setting and input your opponents moves? But depends on who goes first!

Watched that game. Anonymous didn't play that as effectively as he could have - he missed like 15 mates.
Stop me if I'm wrong isn't it easy to create a simple bot to play chess for you and thus cheating.
