I don't even understand or know it but how do people know that what they are doing is what has been destined to them?
I don't believe in it I just believe that what we do is what would reflect in our future,
Do you think that those who are kidnappers,murderer and rapist are destined to do it?

Lol is this a Joke? if you have Fate you will be persevered and dedicated , that's the real meaning of Fate and not FAITH.

I have fate in what i am doing and that brings me success most of the time.

Even though it seems that we are destined for certain things, we also have free will. To see this, all we need do is look at all the places in the Bible that show that we are God's children, God's offspring. Being God's children, we, like our parent, have free will... at least a tiny touch of it... even though we are in early embryo stage, and need to get that umbilical cord attached.

I cannot answer in full in just one comment, because in order to come to this, I went to this for a long time and managed to study a lot of things.

In short:
Yes, destiny is predetermined by us even before we incarnated in this world. We "thought out" in advance how to go through such an experience and such lessons in order to develop as much as possible, gain spiritual qualities and understanding. But in this material world it seems as if we ourselves make decisions and are the creators of fate. Therefore, if you yourself are the creators of your own destiny here in the material world, it was predestined. This understanding will help you if something bad happened (as it seems to you), because it should have been. Only your conclusions from these life lessons and the qualities that you will develop during your life depend on you. Therefore, just try to use your common sense and do everything that depends on you, entrust the rest to God/yourself/the Universe/fate/plan, etc.

It must be acknowledged that neither life nor destiny is in our hands maybe we can try to change something for a while, but the fate of the cruel history will be what it is fate carries an element of a “destiny” It threatens us. The destination is more personalized it can be a god or a force like God to influence our lives. If we consider the destination as a negative force we may be very eager to accept misfortune as our due if it is beneficial we live by snatching roses and avoiding thorns.

We have our own free will to follow if you want to follow what's destined to happen.

In religions, there's the will from above and that should be followed but having a free will, it also depends if you're ok and happy going to follow it.

I don't really believe in destinyt in a way, I believe that we have control of most of the things in our own lives. Some things are not under our control tho, but other things are.

Life and destiny both are interlink. You can't lived your life as per your choices there are some events that is happend against the your choices. This is called destiny

It is all meant to just be absorbed as a experience for yourself. To make yourself better in the next life. We came a long way to become humans, I think we were Amoeba`s at one point in time at the start and before that something that could not even split ourselves into a clone, like a rock or some shit, did you know we are even better than angels? they serve us.

That doesn't really make sense though, there are either choices or destiny, both cannot exist at the same time.
Choices imply a free will, to choose where your life will go.
Destiny implies that you have no free will and that you have no way of influencing anything in your life.
I really don't understand why some people prefer being sleeping slaves instead of taking life into their own hands.

Yes I quite agree that life is all about destiny. The gimmick here is that one's destiny is tied to his/her choice (decision) to made at every crossroad. Just a programing language that is programmed to run the script at every points it gets a Yes or No response. The programme will keep running till it gets to the dead end. So also is the human life, each decision made leads to another till the major goal is achieved or hit the dead end.

I believe that every individuals possess different kinds of destiny, this is why need to make choices. You have different destined place and its up to you where would  you want to end up. Does that makes sense? LOL idk.

I'm all for differing perspectives, but as I've said in my previous post, I link the religious perspective to little more than defeatism or coping with things they can't influence.
In stories, it can be an interesting concept, but in reality it's just pure nonsense.
Can you say with a straight face that it is your destiny to take a shower? To cook a meal? To talk to your buddy? People only like to bring it up for "major" events, but if we assume a "creator" exists, then why would a burned down house or dead family be any less mundane than the examples I've listed, to them?
Belief in destiny can be very dangerous, it's another way to tell you that life has no consequences 'cause everything is predetermined.

Destiny according to religious is the pre-plan for our life by our creator and by religious standard we hardly determine what happened to us but as our creator has plan it before we were born. To science and psychology it a different things and psychologically what happened to us is our making. It is better to look at the two point of views in other for us to understand what is Destiny and what is not.

I do not believe in destiny.  Life is what we choose it is.  If we wanted to be a somebody some day then it will be if we work hard for it.  Though there are factors that may affect the outcome but all in all it depends on the choices we made along the way.  Like for example, we won't be in this forum if we do not choose to register and use it.  There are circumstances or possibility that thing may happen but it will be  affected by our choices in life  and/or those who are connected to us.

I do partly believe in destiny but not our whole life,what I believe about this destiny thing is our Lover that in perfect time this will be awarded to us.but our daily living depend on how we wanna do it and how we will deal with it,that’s how the world must be.because if everything is destined people need not to do anything but wait right?

I don't believe life is destiny, people can create their own destiny depends on their what dream in life. Some want to become successful by doing hard work some want a simply and happy life without any materials things.

That's not really destiny if you think about it. It's just reproduction. For it to be destiny would require for you to have been alive before.

I'll give you one basic question, so tell me, can you choose your family ?

Not all of the aspects of our life is destined.
Some things like death are already decided.
But others like wealth and what are you gonna do with your life, is up to you to decide. It is always open to improvement as long as you want to work for it.
Sometimes we need to take hard choices because we have to choose what is more important since our time in this life is limited.
You should have a value that you hold on to in your life. Then you will make decisions based on this value. Only then your life will have a meaning 

I thought we have free will?  . So for me, we still have choices in life. Everything boils down as to what path we wanted in our life. If you wanted to be rich then by all means, "go rich or die tryin'.

in our life nothing is stable and the Destiny will not been changed by anyone but we can manage our lifestyle in two different ways but at the end of the day we cannot change anything in this world that is the true in my life.

I think that we were destined to live but if we do not accept hard choices in life than you do not grow and are stuck in a linear life. It is our free will ! We can definitely change for the better although it is hard.

I think because those decision will lead you to your "destiny". Every thing happened to you from the very beginning contributes to your destiny. Destiny is comprised of those parts of your life which will complete it. So, this hard choices you say, is destined for you to happen. In other words, you are destined to do hard choices and that particular situation is already a part of your destiny.

Not all your live have been predestined, there are some destiny that you can change with yourself, which you need to just try to achieve what you want. What destiny do you want to change? I just want to know it first. Because I have never heard of someone who understands their religion, saying that our living conditions cannot be changed. Even most of them tell us to live in a direction that is better than before, which means you have to change your life.

Life is not destined. You have the choice to lead your life in unlimited different ways. Really think about that. If you don't take care of yourself, then a girls might not be attracted to you. If you don't work hard, then you won't get the "possible" benefits from it.

Every man make his destiny by himself, if you do work and choose you way and continuously work to achieve your goal, then you will be successful. But if you left everything in destiny then you can't achieve anything.
Religions is not matter in it, God help those who help themselves. We could pray to God that help us but God doesn't like lazy people who have no aim in their life.

The fact that everything seems to be determined when you get right down to the nitty gritty, doesn't get rid of the fact that we have some kind of free will, even if it is artificial. Since we have this semblance of free will, it is probably rooted in some kind of non-deterministic inner free will. But we probably don't know how free will really works, just like we don't know how our basic subconscious works.

We have the ability to free-will change our lives somewhat.

Maybe but we still do some things,  what I believe is that what we love is what we become in the future.
I mean, we work for our destiny as we all want a good destiny in life, no one would like to become criminal in the future or wants to live their life miserable, we all want to be successful and to be happy and our series of actions now will bring our destiny in the future.

Yes i believed life is a destined that is why people always makes their life more happy and do all the things they want to be happy life. They make hard choices in life because once they die they cannot do that in afterlife , they make their own choices for their family , friends just to make them happy while they are alive.

Why is everything meaningless? Because you die, and you don't know if your plans for your kids will ever work out right once you are gone.

The best you can do is enjoy life without harming anyone else.

I am a Christian and I do believe in Destiny. The Bible makes us to” understand that there is a purpose and time on whatever happens under the sun”. I  think we are living life that is well designed by God and from experience we have seen thinks happening in our life as if there were program by power greater than us and I do called that power Destiny.

They say that all our life is destined, right ?
So why bother yourself trying to make hard choices in your life ?
Maybe I don't quiet get it, I want different answers from different religions even atheists, convince me..
