OK - thanks for the comments and I appreciate the advice to a newbie.

Got an offer from a friend to buy this -  so I am locking the topic, which I believe is the appropriate thing to do.

I do escrow for 1% plus 0.0005 for tx fees.

On 3 btc the fee would be .0305

Do you have any pics?

Don't forget the picture with a piece of paper saying your forum member name and a date on it. At least then we have some small proof you may actually own the gear you are selling.

Antminer S9 originally purchased directly from Bitmain and shipped to California on August 22, 2016.

I purchased the S9 to learn about bitcoin and crypto-currency mining.  Have had the device installed in my office but due to the noise it's not something I can leave on all the time, so it has just been lightly used for about the last 6 weeks.

I have had a great time learning about mining and the different pools and the miner seems to produce 0.01 to 0.02 BTC a day (depending on whether you do multi-pools or one of the big BTC pools)... You guys probably all know this better than I do since I'm a newbie to this stuff.

Depending on your power costs and noise buffering, that can be decent cash.  Economically, if the noise were less - I would just leave it running and keep using it to actually experience the profitability of different pools rather than necessarily believing anyone's marketing hype... and would expect for it to have paid for itself by early 2017 or sooner if BTC rallies.

Still have the original boxes and packaging for the PSU and the Antminer, which would be used for shipping.  Sale includes: PSU, Antminer & Shipping costs within the US.

Asking 3 BTC... a little less than I paid for it in August in BTC but about the same less shipping in dollars.  Just looking to pass it along.  Would offer international shipping but I don't know anything about that - so just offering free shipping in the US.  Not sure how to close a deal here - but also just don't like eBay....

It's a cool device, just noisy.  Hope someone continues to have fun with it...

Feel free to PM me with any questions.

this belongs in the market place  I asked for it to be moved to:

and you need to offer escrow  since no one will pay you btc since you are a newbie.

I would  also suggest a price drop since bitmaintech  wants  about 3 btc for new.
