Hi!

We want to promote our site in our signature, but we cannot write a link here, it is removed when I edit the profile. I have seen that other members have links in their signatures.
How I can do the same? I need more rank maybe? thanks you and regards.

As it has already been mentioned, you need to be a Junior Member to add links. The activity required for Junior Member is 30.

So 30 activity translates to a minimum of 30 posts over three activity cycles (14/28/(30)...42). Activity cycles are two weeks at a time, during which 14 activity can be amassed.

So it will take approximately five more weeks and about twenty odd more posts to reach the status required to have a link in your signature. By all means you can add a link to your profile in the meantime.

IMO all members should be able to have links in their signatures no matter what member status they have

That was the case up until a few months ago. They were changed to try cut down on spam from newbies abusing the signature deals. It doesn't take you that long to get up to a member status where you can have them though.

Ok, so just more activity

Keep in mind that posting crap isn't a particularly smart way of increasing your activity. A sensible post a day is all it takes.

It was slightly changed:

Perhaps the allowed signature styling should change with activity score / membergroup. Like:
- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 40 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 100 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

This is done, except that Newbies can use 50 characters and Jr. Members can use 150 characters. The style limitations are applied immediately, but the size limitations only apply when a signature is updated. Tell me if there are problems.

Yeah, you need more activity / higher member status. Newbs can't have links in signatures.
