Namecoin names are bought for NMC and point to some information, right?

Is there a standard protocol for namecoin names to point to a bitcoin address? like
Code:
kalleguld.btc => 1CRv5oXm8AY2RtRLVAsXfnLsU12BmArtn5
or
Code:
kalleguld.bit => {"NS1":"259.8.7.64", "BTC":"1CRv5oXm8AY2RtRLVAsXfnLsU12BmArtn5"}
yes there is: https://dot-bit.org/Namespace:Aliases

also some information here:

of course you can always send namecoins directly to a name like: namecoind sendtoname satoshi 1  Grin

That would likely be a very valuable enhancement for both systems, adding some ease of use for BTC and adding some heightened intrinsic value to NMC.
