Pretty cool.  I thought I was seeing things when I first logged in this afternoon.

Hi gang.  Thanks for the shout out!

I am co-owner and one of several admins here in the USA that helps run the site LiquorList.com.

We're pretty new (went live Sept 2013)  but already enjoy 100,000+ page views a month from quite literally, every corner of the world so having the Bitcoin logo on the front page is definitely giving it some visibility.  We also added Bitcoin as a currency choice in the drop down menu for when one is creating a listing.

We recently won first place in an international GoDaddy contest for start-up businesses that among other other great prizes, awarded us 5 hours of consultation with executives there.  We had our first one hour conference call with the COO and a staff of SEO experts just a few days ago.  Many of the changes they suggested will be implemented later this week.  We're excited about that!

The home page should make more sense and look a little less "low budget" by the time all the changes are made.  Along them lines, next month we will be making the site mobile friendly across all platforms for those of you who prefer to surf the site on your tablets and phones.

I personally chose to have the Bitcoin logo placed on the front page and in the currency drop-down after seeing a couple of different listings pop-up where the posters accepted them.  I think there is a definite future for the currency and to not offer it on the site would be to cut out an entire emerging market.

Anyway, thanks again for the shout out and be sure to come to LL anytime to poke around and/or list your wares.  (There are dozens of non-liquor categories.) Always free, all the time and we DO NOT sell email lists to anyone - EVER.

Thanks again for the mention!

Glad to hear it, thank you!  That's good news.  Like I mentioned before, we always welcome any feedback, so feel free to drop a line any time with suggestions or comments.

Presume the site is American? Pretty cool that they're willing to put the bitcoin logo up on their homepage even if they're not directly accepting it as payment themselves.
Every little positive is a step in the right direction, baby steps are all good.
I wish adoption would speed up a little bit though, there aren't enough stories like this on the forums these days.
We need a giant like COSCO or Walmart to start accepting bitcoin, even if its only online for a limited time or something.
That'd give bitcoin great exposure, we're just waiting patiently for the next big public backing or approval.

I am not an user of LiquorList but from what I could see it is a service that allows you to buy liquor from members of that site.
So all LiquorList did was enable to people who use bitcoin to accept payment in BTC. Well, it is a progress definitely, but not that impressive as I thought initially.

But that nice huge Bitcoin logo in on the frontpage is neat.

What more do you want or could ask for? Site looks a little budget but any business or site accepting bitcoin is a big plus.

That's quite nice. Services usually put a small Bitcoin logo somewhere or a small "Bitcoin accepted here".
Bigger images are needed, on the internet and in the streets. The last time when I was trying to find something it took me 15 minutes more than it should because the Bitcoin logo wasn't either present or was very small so I must have missed it.

Normally you can't even see them or you don't notice it till the checkout page.

Ya I don't think Liquorlist actually has any Bitcoin functions on their site.  Just a few people on their accept BTC.

Good to see them so pro-bitcoin with that home page though!
