In this thread, I would like to elaborate a list of Proof of Stake cryptocurrencies which are based on modern Bitcoin code.

Most PoS cryptocurrencies of the "Bitcoin type" are based on Peercoin, which itself is based on Bitcoin 0.6. Peercoin is currently updating its codebase to BTC 0.8 or 0.9, but these versions are also already very old. There are some based on Bitcoin 0.10, like Emercoin, but as Bitcoin Core 0.13 is the first version including Segwit, this is the limit for "modern code" for me.

As I've done with my Segwit altcoins list, I'll regularly update this OP and the thread (every 1-2 weeks or so) and include new findings.

Feel free to add your suggestions in the comments - please with a link to the coin's code repository (Github, Bitbucket etc.). Every coin is accepted, even coins that are not listed on exchanges.

List:

- NAVCoin (Github) (based on 0.13)
- Particl (Github) (based on 0.15)
