A little late to this, but a few newer ones are:

1) DappRadar
2) DappTracker
3) State of the Dapps

Thanks for the update, mate. Occasionally, new Dapps emerge on the Ethereum ecosystem, making its popularity rise over the long term. What’s more is that it has been the number one platform for ICOs, allowing it to increase in demand and usage over the long term.

One of the best Dapps in existence right now is Crypto Kitties. It has managed to gain a lot of popularity and has increased the demand for ETH. It's very exciting as it allows you to breed your own virtual kittens within the blockchain for immutable proof of ownership. As such, I believe that there is huge potential for Dapps in the long term due to the numerous benefits that blockchain technology provides. Just my opinion Smiley

I'm looking for a full list of dapps made within the Ethereum platform to test myself and serve as reference for some dapps that I'm going to develop in the near future.

Also, I would need some advice regarding the gas used when executing a smart contract as I have noticed sometimes that when I use a certain amount of it when executing the same, I get an error message saying that I have insufficient gas (also, the block explorer shows that the contract execution failed) Is there any way to know what is the minimum amount of gas needed to execute a smart contract? How do I find this information? Sorry for asking, I'm just curious to know as I had certain issues with this at the moment of getting started with the smart contract. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Wink

This is definitely not a full list, but it gives some directions as far as modularity of blockchain innovation.
Hope this helps.
Also, please let me know if I missed something

If you believed in smart contracts you were taken for a ride. It's only a theoretical mind-game of possibilities in the heads of some ultra-geeks in ivory towers. Nothing tangible or useable.

Smart contracts are unicorns.

I guess you are right. This has brought me some concerns since the last hacked or exploit that happened lately with The Dao. It all shows that ETH has many flaws in smart contract security. All in then, I believe that Bitcoin may prove to have all the goodness of the majority of alt coins (like NXT, ETH, etc) Take a look at Rootstock, Counterparty and Omni in which all of them expand Bitcoin's capabilities. They are all running under the same blockchain (operating mostly as a sidechain).

Anyways, it would be good to know what would be of Ethereum a couple of years from now. Just my opinion.  Roll Eyes

Does it matter? The functionality of Dapps will be gone after the fork for all i know. Also all dapps will be shut down by the fork if my info is correct.

There is no such a thing as a "smart contract"

And if there were, you'd be 99.99% unable to ever code a secure contract in your entire life. So for pocketchange it could be fine but don't plan to involve any large sums of money because they could easily vanish.
